How to Prepare Jewelry Group & Pictures for Landing Purpose

Hello Friends,

I have questions regarding Jewelry for Landing Purpose:

1) I have taken Each & Every Photo of Jewelry Separately, Then insert 04 photos on A4 page of Word File. So that becomes total 24 Pages.
Is it a correct way?

2) Do we need to take photos of Artificial Jewelry?

3) Do we need to carry receipt of all these jewelry?

pictures are not a requirement for declaration. if you want to take pictures for your own records and to submit with your forms, then you can either do them separately or as a lot. there is no need to take pictures of costume jewelry. you can take pictures of expensive stuff if you want. for any expensive items, i'd recommend having an appraisal for your records as well. i did not have any receipts for any items i declared, nor was i asked to produce any. again, if you have expensive items and you still have the receipts (to prove they were not just bought), then keep them with the forms. it is not a requirement though. on the declaration form, items can be grouped together with a value for the lot. how i declared my jewelry was: 1 bag of costume jewelry. then i provided a total value. I did not declare my wedding rings since i was wearing them at the time, nor was I asked to declare them at time of declaration.

- You need to take picture of each and every photo and attach along with B4A (Goods to follow) form (with approx. value mentioned) only in case if you intend to bring it to Canada at a later stage. If you are taking jewellery along with you now, there is not need for fotos and you just need to mention the value in b4 FORM.

2) Do we need to take photos of Artificial Jewelry?

- nOT REQUIRED
3) Do we need to carry receipt of all these jewelry?

- Not required. You just mention the approximate value.

I am taking 12000CAD cash and the rest of the amount is in the Foreign Bank Statement

Do they accept Foreign Bank Statement as I heard that I have to open a canadian bank account before arrival and transfer my funds there?

Ensure that you declare the cash as it is above the threshold of 10k. They very much accept Foreign bank statements. Opening a Canadian bank acct might be a little tricky before landing. Some ppl managed to open and transfer funds but you'll not be able to transact any further until you land and submit your SIN to the bank. I was unable to open one from outside.

and if i carry 8K and my wife carry 4K, even then do I need to declare?
