HELP WITH THE IMM1017 FORM

Hello there!

I am expecting an ITA this next draw as I have 900+ CRS. While waiting for the draw, I have read some topics on this forum and I believe we will be needing the form IMM 1017 for the Medical procedure. I have not got any answers as to where it will be coming from. I read online that it will be provided by the Visa Office. Do i have to wait for that to be mailed? Or will it be emailed to me by CIC? What I am planning to do is to wait first for my ITA before I start working with my medical, so I am not going to have upfront medical. Any inputs with regard to this?

everyone that goes through express entry has an upfront medical. you don't get a medical request or form from CIC anymore. After you get the ITA, you're expected to upload the proof of completing the medical with the rest of your documents within 60 days.

Upfront medical, meaning, that is doing the medical BEFORE receiving ITA, right? What was told on CIC's website that we do not take any medical not until we receive an ITA. and that form is driving me crazy.

no. upfront medical just means doing the medical without being sent a request from CIC to do it.
Before express entry you waited till they requested it from you. they don't request it at all anymore. but you need to do it before you submit your documents.
they say to do it after you get the ITA because its only valid for a year and you need to land before they expire. So no point doing the medical before you know you've been invited.

Were you not asked about that form when you had your medical? Most of the things that i have read, they were being asked for that IMM1017 form
