Hi Guys,

Please help me getting to know about these:
I am from INDIA, done Bachelors in Technology(4 year Engineering; total 16 year of studies) and having 39 months of experience. I'd applied for the Study at Concordia University but was refused and I am still in process for applying study for the second time.
My IELTS Academics: L7 S7 R7 W6.5 - overall 7
I am married since Dec,2014 and wife has done Master in Arts(English) and Bachelors of Education(1 year); total 18 years of studies and work experience 1.5 year as a Primary School Teacher.

If I count my scores in EE Points with spouse:
It comes out to be 368.(Will be 425 if I get L8 and 7 in others: which again needs to be achieved and then becomes eligible for OINP)

If I count my scores in QSW Points with spouse:
from this PDF
https://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/publications/fr/divers/Grille-synthese.pdf

It comes out to be 60 for both and required is 57 only but wait time from India is 24+ months which is a long time.

If I count my scores in Australia PR Points with spouse:
I need to get 7 each in General IELTS and then State Sponsorship program is required, again I am not sure if they see my case as positive one.

Here I need your advise on my profile:

1. If student from Montral(INDIAN) applies for QSW will the wait time will remain the same like India or will be treated as local one?
(If time is treated like local and processing time given on there website is approx 12-15 months)

2. If granted study visa, then when should I call my wife to see me in Quebec? like after getting study visa or after getting land or after completing 3 month of studies or so? any case if anyone can discuss.

3. Which visa should be applied? TRV or Visitor or OWP? any reference please?

4. What are chances of getting refusal for her visa?

Thanks guys.

Once you have stayed or studied in Quebec, you will be getting additional points which will strengthen your case. You will realize it when you will self-evaluate your chances of seeking CSQ online.

http://www.form.services.micc.gouv.qc.ca/epi/index.jsp?languageCode=en

Also go through the following link if you intend to apply for CSQ once being in Canada as a student"

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/peq/index.html

If you meet the financial requirement, your wife may join you even if you are a student - provided she dont have any health and security concerns. She can also apply for work permit ( I a not sure about the waiting period of work permit).

Thanks for your reply, Yes I knew that I will get 5 points for study for 3+months at least. but can you tell me the wait time by staying in Montreal itself and applying QSW from there as a student?
