Has anyone used the option of going to CIC office instead of flag poling and going to the border?

Really need help. My spouse doesn't have a U.S. Visa and his passport is manual so we think this is the safest option.

Need some help and info regarding this.

1. You phone the call centre and make an appt. for inland office, anywhere from 3-8 weeks.

Yes. You can. I haven't done it personally, but I read lots of posts of other members that have done it.
In some cases they just walked to the U.S borders and walked back to Canada to land.
