Educational Transcripts from India- New to EE

Hi,
I am new to EE and would like to get the educational transcripts. I am basically from india and i can not travel back to get those. I am sure some one can guide me if there is any way to get them with out travelling back to india. I really appreciate if some one can help me.

First register with a provider who evaluates Educational credentials:

1) Univ of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
2) WES
3) Others

Then you will have to send a copy of your degree to the institution. The contact your Indian university to have your transcripts sent directly to one of the above organizations. These organizations do not accept the transcripts if they are sent by your directly.

I am also facing the same issue, here is what I am doing to get it done:

Filled one form available in GES site requesting for transcript
scan the document and send it to your friend/family
they can take the printout and submit it to the university on your behalf and deposit the appropriate fee
university will issue the transcript on sealed official envelope with WES address mention in it
your friend/family can collect the sealed envelope and post

I am at step number 3. Hope this helps.

I dont think many universities in India will actually send them directly to WES.

I asked my parents to take it to my university and complete the application and also order transcripts from the university. Later when everything was in place my parents sent it to WES.

The application was accepted and I also I got my WES evaluation long time back.

By and large, the universities in India don't have much online tools for requesting transcripts. Your best bet is to ask from your family/friends/college alumni cells to fill in the transcript forms on your behalf with required fees and you can email them the soft copies of all the marksheets + degree certificates. Once they have received the transcripts you can have them sent to WES. You will need to create an account in WES for this purpose - they will provide you with a reference number, which can be put on the communication envelope for speedier processing.

Download the transcript request form from WES, fill it up. Get someone to go to your university with that request form and ask the university to re-issue the transcripts and fill out the last part of the transcript request form.
They might ask for a certain fee for like re-processing and stuff.

Now here is the important part, Once the people from your uni puts all the docs together, they're gonna want to seal the envelope and put signature/stamp over the flap. There is a certain way to do it. You will find directions in the WES website.

Once all that is done, anyone back home can send it through any international courier. You are lucky, your uni is in India. Most other countries don't gave the option for the applicant to send anything from them even though its sealed by the uni.

Hi,
I have done MTech in National Institute of Technology, Calicut and BTech from Narasaraopet Engineering College(JNTU Hyderabad).
Do i need to get the transcripts for both BTech and MTech?
As far as I know you only need to get the M. Tech transcripts
while filling application in WES, i came across some questions which i am not clear. Could you please help on below.
1 Institution type?
a) University Education
b) Stateboards Technical education
c) Professional Education
d) secondery education.
I am confused to chose either a or b or c.
I had choosen option A as exam was conducted & marksheets were issued by University in my case.

you have mentioned about the form to request university for trascripts, but i couldn't find in WES site. Could you please share me the link to access the form. I really appreciate your help.
