Hi all,

Called CIC this morning, a very nice officer answered the phone... I asked to check my application, he said everything was complete...

BUT they are facing a HUGE backlog in applications and he told me that most of our applications will be processed until MARCH/2016.

That's right folks... he said that they are processing in batches and if I'm lucky, my application will be in the next one... but he couldn't tell, of course.

He also sent me and email with information to apply for a Bridge open work permit, as my file shown that the requirements for BOWP are met.

If you want to call CIC, call them at 8:00am... it's the best time to call.

I'm and inland FSW applicant... received my AOR in July 23... Fingerprints in Nov 16...

Now I'm waiting my GCMS notes that will probably arrive in Jan 14.

Good luck to us all!
I think this person is a troll! An agent would never disclose any information about "huge" backlogs and would not even look into your file if you didn't hit 6 months.

Thanks a lot for sharing. Quick question please. Were your notes generated after the Nov 14 BG in progress date? I am assuming it is as the last activity date is showing as Nov 19. Any indications on what the BG change on Nov 14 entails or they had notes or any updates on that date.

Again thank you for sharing, gives lots of comfort to us Aug AORs who are waiting for any news.
Good question! Wondered about the same thing after looking at the notes. Don't know if it is a coincidence or not!

My speculation is that getting your BG to in-progress could mean that you are pretty much done.
1. The latest officer review notes happened on Nov 14. The same exact day BG went to in-progress for me. And this is what it reads:

Officer Review: FOSS CHECK COMPLETED: no adverse information. EXPERIENCE R75(2) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - satisfied. R76(1) SELECTION CRITERIA - POINTS - satisfied. R76(1) SELECTION CRITERIA- POINTS - satisfied. PA has sufficient settlement funds. SELECTION PASSED ADMISSIBILITY: No crim concerns (some words got cut off. Medicals also passed)
RPRF complete. File is RFV

I understand RFV means Ready for Visa. But will there be further reviews?

Link#1. Visafile dot info is legit. I can confirm. They apply on your behalf.
Link#2. You apply for yourself directly. But you can only apply if you are inside Canada.

but some other members also have reported earlier that processing time may extend upto 8 months for fsw inland, as per the info got from agents. so it seems like we may have to wait longer.

I did the same thing, however it is giving me below error -

Error: You have entered an invalid Express Entry Profile Number and/or Job Seeker Validation Code. To avoid errors, you should copy and paste these codes directly from the message in your MyCIC account. If you are still having problems registering with Job Bank using these codes, please go to CIC Help Centre at http://cic.gc.ca/english/contacts for more information.

Were you able to perform it correctly? And do you have access to ecas?(Trying to connect dots here as I lost my access few weeks back)
Hi abhisuri,

Did you manage with your jobbank account? Now I have the same issue as you.

..Has anyone noticed in gcms notes...just above the VO review notes..there is one section called paper file transfer history.. after 2 days of AOR..it says transfer type..transfer reason..transfer id...the transfer reason was work load re-distribution....i assume the delay is because of that transfer reason..work load?Huh...

The truth is - there has always been backlogs since ages ago, as such, the agent hasn't said anything new. My take away from the OP's post is that most of July's applicants file are completed and visa ready. As usual, 80% of them would be getting their pprs in january while few unlucky ones may have theirs slightly extended for another 2-3 months.

I also opine that 80% of august aors may also be getting their prrs in january. I have a hunch that the reason behind the little delay on PPR may boils down to qouta, as such, they are not inclined to send out mass pprs until the new immigration year.

I beg to differ, for an orgnanization handling this huge volume of files daily, work load distribution comes as "business as usual". Furthermore, it's very unlikely that an activity/action carried out just 2 days after AORs would indicate a reason for delay for applications with standard processing time of 6months. This leaves them with a whooping 5 months, 28 days to address the said " workload"

Very happy for you :).. This is a good sign.. I'm thinking 6-8 weeks for DM.. Would be very happy to be proven wrong.. Best of luck to all!
I've had BG in process since early October no DM for me. Things seem to be slowing up considerably over last couple months. I'll be heading back to Canada end of January having gotten a work permit extension. That will be the 6 month mark since AOR, would love to have PPR received at that stage

Background check is in progress and medical results are passed. But Eligibility is still under Review in progress. Is this normal ? Shouldn't eligibility mention passed ?

AOR Aug 28 and FSW Outland.

My BG is not in progress till now (AoR 21 Aug). Just wanted to check if someone with AOR before this still has his BG not started? Its always a comforting feeling if you know you are not the only one left ;D
