Hello Everyone,

I need your opinion on my case, My application was received since Nov 28 2014, Turn IP oct 9th, and it says we have started processing your application since March 2, 2015, I ordered notes Oct 26th, it just came, but nothing seems to have been done. My eligibility turn In Process since July 23rd, were a review is required. and it says due date is on the 2nd of February 2016. Does that means the next time they are going to look at my case will be in Feb 2nd 2016?. Criminality and Security both shows Not Started and the Medical say Pass-Expired.
Does anyone knows what i can do to facilitate the process, because i am about the only November applicant that is moving this slow.

thank you.

Hello Friends,
I have a question for those how have ordered and received their notes,
What is your due date under eligibility ?

Because I am a November applicant, I just received my notes and under eligibility it says due date 2016/02/22, another November applicant who just received notes also have the same. Please let us know yours so we can conclude if it is just a generic date that comes with all application depending on the date they receive your file or not.
My file was received March 2015, and this Feb 2016 is exactly 11months from March 2015, which is the visa office processing time.

Please share the month your file was received at the office and the eligibility due date, for those that have their notes.

Thank you.

The due date is the deadline the next officer should review your file (your file is passed from one officer to the next, and to the next...) Usually the next officer would review a file before a due date; and of course, every VO can be different.

I did order the notes: my eligibility due date is 2016 March, and I submitted my application in 2014 Dec. However, I got DM and COPR in 2015 Nov.

You should send an email inquiry to ask about your file.

Dear friends,

I have been reading this forum for long time. It helped a lot while we were waiting.
Today we just got Decision Made and PPR.

our application is "conjugal partner" (male and female. Both never married)
our timeline is:

sponsorship application: 16 Oct 2014
Sponsorship approval: 24 Dec 2014
In Progress: 8 Jun 2015
New med and police certificate request: 16 June 2015
Eligibility due date 24 Dec 2015
Eligibility assessed: 8 Jun 2015
DM and PPR: 26 Nov 2015....almost exactly 11 months from SA.

our application moved from Beijing to HK.
We have been requested to send passport to Beijing.

It was a long wait but we are almost at the end.
hope all of you will have good news soon.

regards

Hey

Does anyone know what is the photo size cic is requesting for ppr. They wanted Canadian passport photos from me and my hukou stuff a month ago but didn't mention anything about ppr at all . And I was reading elsewhere someone's ppr photo request is the Canadian ppt size which is 70*50. I have sent my photos with the original application. So not really sure what's going on. Any thoughts? Thanks. :)

Hi all,

Does anyone know if my wife (visitor status) and I travelling to the states in a one day trip (<24hrs), would it count as leaving Canada, and it will recalculate the number of days, which is 1/2 yr, that she is able to stay in Canada once we re-enter from the states?

Thanks for the help!

Not my personal experience. But read it else where. The answer is no. I think you have to do visitor extension.

Thanks Tryee!

Here's our situation - Overseas PR Applications in progress.
Let's say if my wife leaves after the expiry date (over 1/2yr), and then wants to return to Cad few weeks later.
First, does she have any trouble when she leaves after the expiry date?
Secondly, can she return to Canada again with a HK passport?

Thanks so much for your help!

I'm really not sure on this topic. The suggestion people gave out is extend your visitor visa while your waiting for your pr. and if your visa expires let's say dec 23, as long as you submit your app before the 23rd you will be fine. Because you will be implied status which is still legal. I haven't personally experienced any of this so the best way of doing it is either phone cic or ask someone knows it for sure. There are some other forums if you want to post your questions out there.

Hope you get this figured out soon. ;)

Hi everyone. I feel like this question has been answered but can't seem to find it again. I have just received my COPR through the mail. I know that I am required to land in Canada to activate it, but I am actually already in Canada. Do I have to cross the border in the U.S., or can I bring it to an office in Canada to get this done? Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks.
