For some reason I think that all this In Process thing is just a change of protocol for the new status indications on eCAS. If you check your eCAS guide for outland apps, as of mid June, 2015 they have changed the naming for statuses and there is no more "Application Received", everything now falls under "In Process", so I'm pretty sure that is the case why so many people with such different timelines received this change. I hope I'm wrong though.

So I was wrong. Just got my PPR!
Congrats on your PPR! :)
Unfortunately I think you were right saying that the 'In process' status change is a new protocol. I think I was the first one mentioning on this forum that my application in Warsaw went from AOR2 to In process in one day. I really hoped that it was not a mistake, but now I see everybody gets 'In process' right after AOR2.
I know that you got your PPR, but you sent your application in January, and for example I sent mine in May so it would be a miracle for me to skip a 4 months wait :)

Anyways, you just gave me lots of hope for my application to be processed in Warsaw quickly. I was sad seeing that the time changes from 8 to 12 months. You've got your PPR after 120 days wait from SA so it makes me very excited and I can estimate that mine PPR will come in around 100 days :)

PS. Are you Polish or a citizen of another country? Someone mentioned here that Polish citizens are processed in Warsaw quicker because it's easier for the VO to get all the paper work done.

It's very rare, but sometimes people get processed really quickly skipping the line of waiting. I don't know if it's human error placing the new application on top or what, but I saw things like these happening in this forum and it comes up as a really pleasant surprise for the applicant. On the other hand, Warsaw is really fast, and for me to get PPR here took almost the same amount of time as to get SA from Mississauga.

And I'm Lithuanian. I noticed that all the applicants from Poland and the Baltic states are being processed the quickest. To speed it up I'll just get DHL to currier my COPR when it's ready, so I can get them papers delivered within a few days.

I agree! This too has given me hope, it seems as though a few others have also been processed faster (4 months instead of 12) We will see how long our applications will take to process and hopefully it will be as fast as Sheepdog's and Aisha's!

Another thought, it seems as though Russian citizens have more requirements than others (I am sponsoring my Polish partner) so maybe their applications are the reason for longer processing times.

The Russian ones appear as longer because the time their applications spent in Moscow is counted as well. So, let's say, someone applied in January, app was sent to Moscow, spent there 4 months and then was transferred to Warsaw and spent there another 4 months - makes 8 months for counting, even if in Warsaw it took them only 4 months to finalize. So, be optimistic, looks that it takes 4-5 months for Warsaw to deal with us ;) sometimes probably a bit longer, but Warsaw seems to be one of the fastest VOs anyway.

How do they send PPR? Via email or mail?
And if you receive PPR it does it mean that they made a decision and it's positive, so they just need the passport to put your visa in it?

It's however you indicated your primary form of correspondence. I asked ours to be through email, so I received mine via email. It pretty much just asks you passport copy in order to proceed with the app. And I guess that process is just getting your COPR papers ready. So I am assuming that it equals to a positive decision on the whole app and it's just a formality to make sure you have room in your passport for the immigration officer to put your visa at the landing. Hope it doesn't take longer then a few weeks so I can book my tickets ahead of time.
