Being able to view you application in ecas means that your application is in the system and that somebody actually entered your information there so that is a good thing. However no receiving an email notification could be due to a wrong email address or it went to a junk folder, it could be as simple as your email for example is .ca and it was sent to .com

Anyway I think that you should actually be considered as received AOR on July 20.
Not exactly tho. My ecas was also activated without me receiving an email, But it showed the received line and also the AOR sent line. That's how I figured that they did send me AOR but to the wrong email. So I called and then found out they indeed mistyped one letter.

So oscar2323 I think maybe they just didn't get around to send the AOR yet. Maybe wait a few more days and call....

I wonder what will happen after "in process" now. It seems there wasn't any "transferred to local office" anymore after June. People either have no updates or they just get a test date directly...No other progress we can check anymore :-X
In process means your file is transferred to your local office. They have changed the processing after the implementation of C24.

Why so quiet, no action recently. They seem to be almost done with the June AOR, so I am hoping things will speed up even more.

Two questions here: the first one, am I right that ECAS is no longer going to have the line 'transferred to local office' (or whatever they write for that)? Looking at the online explanation when I check my status, it says now that 'in process' = 'transferred to local office'. If this is correct, does that mean that the next normal step is a test invite?

And for the second question, my PR card expires in October, and those of my wife and son expire in December. I'm in Edmonton now, it's a nuisance applying for new cards, does anyone have a guess as to whether there's a chance my citizenship application could finish before the end of the year?

To answer your first question, sometimes e-cas states the file has been transferred to local office (it mentions the name of the local office) or responsible office (doesn't state the name of office). Sometimes e-cas does not update with local office transfer information and the person directly receives test invite.
Regarding your 2nd question, I can't answer as I live in Vancouver and I have no idea about timelines in Alberta. If you think you need to go outside Canada around after when the PR card is expiring then you can submit request with CIC to renew PR card.

Man, is it quiet . . . I see that the people who applied on June 10th are getting their AORs now, maybe that's a sign that CIC has dealt with the final deluge of old-rules applications and can turn its resources to processing them all.

From now on, the process depends on the local offices.
Toronto is slow. Vancouver is fast. I can see here that the small towns are faster than the big.
I'm gonna change my timeline. I don't believe my file will be in process before August 29 2015.

I wonder, though, if there is going to be some internal re-allocation of resources -- CIC wants to take advantage of the fact that very few new applications will be coming in for a year or so, it seems like that should leave certain offices with less to do. What are all the people at Sydney who normally check applications for completeness going to be up to?

I wish somebody will create a spreadsheet similar to what we have here but specific to Toronto applicant. Does anyone know if that already exists? That would be very helpful for us here so that we can track down our timelines and compare with those that they have already processed / or currently processing.
