University Transcripts Sealed Envelop without Acedemic Record Req form inside it

Hello everyone,

Although this is a much discussed topic, I would still like to put forward my case for your valuable advice and suggestions.

I have BE & MBA degrees,both from two different Indian universities and I would like to get the assessment done from WES for my credentials.

I have two copies of my transcripts obtained from my university from where I did my graduation (in Bachelor of Engg). They are in sealed envelops with specified sign and stamps given by the university.

As you know,while applying for these transcripts,one has to write the name of the place where those transcripts are meant to be sent.When I had applied for the transcripts, I was not quite sure about the place where those would have to be sent at that point of time. So,I wrote some arbitrary University names on the envelop,so that I can change them or rewrite them anytime,if required, by pasting a new address label on the envelop.

Now,while applying for WES, I came across the fact that one needs to get an ''Academic Records Request Form'' signed by stamped by the respective university and ask the university to put it inside the Sealed envelop containing other academic documents/transcripts.

1) My question is,as I have already received the Transcripts in a University prescribed format and the ''Academic Records Request form'' is not put inside it, in that case do I need to make a fresh request to my university to send me another set of transcripts with WES prescribed Academic Rec Request Form? Otherwise, if I just get the 'Academic Records Request form'' signed and stamped by University (if they do so) and put the WES reference number on my transcript envelop with a new address label put on it for WES, will that suffice the need of WES?
I doubt if at all my university would put the Academic Records Req form inside the transcripts envelop.

2) Also, after getting Transcripts from both my universities ,should I put both the envelops in a bigger envelop and send the same to WES? Is that the process?

No need for 'Academic Records Request form''. Transcripts in a sealed envelope is more than enough.

Yes, a bigger envelope for the two qualifications is how it needs to be done. Along with the two envelopes put in the WES e-mail print-out which has the reference number writtten on it.

The bigger envelope need not to be stamped and sealed. Put the two envelopes in this biiger envelope and send it to WES.

Bigger envelope needn't be signed by anyone.

It would not be wise to put both transcripts in same envelop (for query no. 2) because, transcripts were requested to sent directly by the degree granting institution(your university)- so if you putting the two packages in same envelop may raise question.
To be safe side you should send two packages separately to WES.

You can send them together. Those requirements depend on the country of education and I imagine it is allowed in your case given that you got both credentials from India.

Sorry for a mistake; Asivad Anac given a response to you which is correct; you can send those in a envelop (Indian Institutions are allowed for that); please follow wes country specific requirements "Arrange for the documents to be sent directly to WES by the university or autonomous college responsible for conducting the examinations.

-OR-

If the document is given to you to forward to WES, it must be attested & dated and placed in an official sealed envelope that is signed or stamped across the back flap by the appropriate authentication officer at the institution that conducted the examination. If the envelope has been opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, the document will not be accepted by WES."

Hi Asivad Anac,

Need your valuable advice once again.

I have received the transcripts from the university from where I did my Engineering. Now, in order to apply for the transcripts for my MBA degree, I had made a visit to the respective university. There the officials suggested me to not to apply for the regular Transcripts as provided by the university (as those are not given in sealed envelops), but to go to the Registrar's office and request them to issue the documents in the requisite format.

I had discussed the matter with the person at Registrar's office. He suggested me to bring the photo copies of all my mark sheets and degree certificate and get them signed & stamped by him and then put inside a sealed envelop.

My question is,if I get the xerox copies of my mark sheets signed and stamped by the Registrar's office,will that suffice the requirement stated by WES?

Kindly advise. I have already received the WES number and now waiting for the transcripts so as to apply for Express Entry.
