Hello All,

Just a question. Is anyone aware of any case where PR is rejected for any QSW applicant? Because I have not found any such case on this forum. And if you are aware please share the details and reason.

The reason I am asking this as recently VO asked us for additional documents second time. And this time they have asked to provide details to show intent to reside. Following are the questions:

Where you intend to live
What schools you have looked at for children.
How you have prepared your children for entering education under the French school board
How you have prepared yourselves to enter the labour market in Quebec
Evidence of any French language classes/preparation

First of all it is strange that we are being asked for the intent as we have been going through this process for over four years. It took four years to get CSQ. Shouldn't this itself show our intent to stay in Quebec. Why would someone waste four to five years of life, not to mention the efforts, doc prep, cost etc if they did not have any intention to reside.

Secondly all these were checked by Quebec when they issued CSQ. So why now by Federal?

Before this additional doc request, we were asked to do Medical and pay RPRF. Medical is done and already received. RPRF was paid upfront so informed VO for the same.

Guys this has made me nervous and giving me headche. After such a long journey no one expects this.

Your thoughts please....

And wish us luck as we are so close to make Quebec our new home. Kids are so excited already and I have no courage to see their broken heart if something goes wrong. And not to mention my own heart :-[

Note: We applied from outside Canada. App is at LVO.
The only one I heard who was rejected after CSQ is her husband is a soldier, BIQ required a interview, and she didn't go....so...she was rejected...

Don't worry! They asked me two questions like your questions. Just search on the internet and provide them reasonable answers. They want to make sure that you have a plan for each of the questions. This hopefully would be the final steps of your application. Good luck!

Dear Shiran,

Thank you for sharing the details. Yes I have done the same. Checked the internet for possible suburbs in Montreal area where we will be residing. Also checked the schools in those areas etc etc. So yes hopefully this should be ok.

Its just doesnt feel right when you are questioned on the intend for something which you have been working hard for past five years.

Can you please share your timeline?

BR

hi guys,

I wanted to share my landing experience... :) we went to the US border via Stanstead and told the border agent that we were there for immigration purpose. after a short waiting time, I got the paper stating that my entry to the US was refused and was then instructed by the agent that we would just have to turn around and get back to the Canadian border.
after stating our intent to the Canadian border agent, we were asked to park the car and go inside for immigration. from there, everything went very smoothly :) the agent who took care of my case just wanted to see my CoPR, my passport, my CSQ, and he wanted me to write down my address. he took my documents and left for about 10 min. when he came back, he asked me the one question indicated on my CoPR wether I had ever committed any crimes in Canada. I answered 'no' truthfully and signed with my initials. he then proceeded to sign both copies of the CoPR and let me sign them as well. he took my work permit out of my passport and then left again for another 5 mins. once returned, he stamped my passport, stapled my CoPR inside and gave it to me. another agent who had been standing there asked me if I was aware of my duties as a PR. I asked him to explain and he went on about the 2 years out of 5 that I have to stay in the country. I replied, that my boyfriend would be happy to hear that I HAVE to stay ;) we were all having a good laugh and that was it :) I left the border as a PR :)

it's still kinda unreal to be honest but I am sure I will get used to it quickly.

best to all of you!

Dear HossamHamed

Received email on 4th June to pay RPRF even though it was paid upfront. So informed the VO for the same.

In the same email they asked for following:

Medical
Updated information chart
Updated copies of the passport biopage
Employment reference letters
Degree certificate(s) and transcripts

Medical was done on 22nd June which they received on 30th June.

After these docs were sent then received another email on 23rd June to show our intend to reside with the questions I mentioned in one of previous post.

Anyway sent the response to their second email on 1st July which they received through courier on 6th July. And here on 14 July received passport request. phew :)
