I received my stamped passport yesterday 2nd July. I had submitted it at VFS office on 25th June. That was a fast turnaround.

I was a little caught in all the packing.. I have my flight to toronto on tuesday.

Guys, is there anythign that I should be aware of before I land there?
Congrats! Make sure you describe the landing process after the flag poling. I'm also not sure how do you get a permanent residence card. Do they give you the card at the airport, or do you have to submit an application after landing?

Hello friends!!!

Once again, I need your imput... Please! share your thoughts!

Case:
*I am waiting for EE that is currently in process who knows until when... (should be soon, but who knows?) (but no news is good news, right?)
(also waiting for the Notes to arrive to see wtf is going on)
*Applied for BOWP last weekend... (I know...should have done that sooner...)
*I have PNP nomination now!
*My WP is about to expire

* I was confident on the "implied Status" to keep on working while waiting for the decision.... BUT, unfortunately due to the economic crash and a terrible management, just Today I was asked (more like forced) to take holidays....(luckily I didn't get laid off, but I was close)

So, now... I truly need the BOWP. I don't want to live out of my savings (that were to see my family after 4 years!) So I NEED TO WORK!!! (also to not to drive crazy while waiting)....

Question, my dear friends!
Given my circumstances, what should I do?

-Can I use my AINP to do Flagpole for a BOWP? just with those papers, the nomination and employer letters...without having apply to PR trough the PNP office?
-If yes, Can I do Flagpole at YEG airport?

In any case, which is the risk to do a flagpole kamikaze style? I mean, just grab my papers and go there with my best cute-puppy face, the nomination and stuff)
it is worth mention that also my multi-entry visa has expire.... (yeah! I am so stuck!!)

Please, I value your opinion.

Hi All,

I am also a applicant from February. My ECAS status is till "Application Received" and there was only one request for the CELPIP scorecard. For the year 2014, I was out of Canada for around 6 months. And while I filed the taxes for the last year, I did not see a place to declare my income outside Canada. I have heard that this becomes an issue while processing PR. Is this true or just a myth?

Hello,

First up, am not sure if you can flagpole with no PR ,no WP and an expired visa. You wouldn't have any legal document to let you enter the country.
As for flagpoling at the airport, don't think that's possible either.AFAIK, you'll have to cross border via land and then reenter.

Hard as it is, I'd say stay in the country as long as you get the PR. Good luck!

Hi everyone. I've been a reader for a little while but this is my first time posting. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and advice.

Below is my timeline:
20 JAN EE Profile Submitted
20 MAR ITA Received
16 MAY Application Submitted
27 MAY 1st AOR Received
27 MAR Eligibility in Progress
28 MAR Medical Results Passed

Apart from this, I applied for an Ontario Provincial Nomination in November 2014. I finally received my nomination certificate yesterday however it states the nomination is not valid for CIC's Express Entry program. I was wondering if I should still contact CIC regarding my EE application and inform them that I received an Ontario Nomination Certificate (while providing a copy). And if yes, what is the best way to contact CIC regarding updated information? Thanks in advance for any responses!

Hi Curious

I think you should call CIC and get confirmation on this.
Sending softcopy would be quicker I guess but don't take any chances.. All the very best

Hi,

I have a question:

While submitting the Application, My wife being the principal applicant and me dependant, did not submit all the stamped/marked pages of our passport. By checking the forum ..i saw few people got the application rejected because of not submitting all PP pages.

So we submitted all the pages of our passports on 5th of July via Case specific enquiry.

How long does it take for them to reflect/Add the attachments sent in CSE to our application. Do I need to worry now about it?? has any one submitted CSE and sent any document before?

My time lines are:
ITA April 17
AOR May 16
Additional doc request: June 9th (Celpip and Spouse passport)
Med passed June 11th
ECAS changed from In process to > Application recieved.

please advice.

thanks

Hi guys.. question - ITA received Mar 20, application submitted May 12. Based on posts here expecting positive reply anytime soon. I understand after you get your PR you have to submit your passport? I am planning a Euro Trip from July 28th for a month and therefore will need to have my passport with me always during that period. If I get the PR in this time or close to these dates how much time do I have to submit my passport. I will postpone the euro trip if the window is short. It would be great if anybody who has submitted the passport and received it back could let me know. Thanks in advance!

Are you an In-Canada applicant or did you apply from outside Canada?
