Hello,

I am confused about the points that i can claim for me and my wife's education.

I am a B.E with information technology (engineering) - so i guess, i should get 126 points for that.
I believe, it comes under "Entry to practise professional degree" ("University-level credential at the Master’s level OR an entry-to-practice professional degree")
Or will i get 112 points under "Post-secondary program credential of three years or longer"

Also, my wife is BAMS, which is four years university degree after 12th science.
So i guess, i can claim 10 points for that.

Can some one clarify this please.

No, engineering degree is not entry-to-practice. In Canada, one with a bachelor degree will need to work 4 years as Engineer-in-Training and take an exam to become a Professional engineer.

She can get you points for a Bachelor's degree, but that would require her credentials to be assessed as well.

Hi Below is the snap shot of my wife's WES credentials. She is a post B.Sc Nurse which means that she diploma for 3 years and then Post. Bsc ie 2 years. And in the Express Entry Profile i have put as " two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees one ......." can some one suggest if this needs to be changed?

-----------------------------WES Assessment as below-----------------------
WES evaluates the Diploma as Canadian equivalent= 3 years of hospital study and training

WES evaluates the Post.Bsc as Canadian equivalent= Bachelor's degree (4 years)
with a remark that she was exempted from the part of the programme on the basis of studies previously completed
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now on the above assessment i fail to judge the appropriate option that i should choose from the drop down whether should it be
a) Bachelor's degree Or a three or more year programme at University....
b) Two or more certificates, diplomas or degree. One be for a programme of 3 or more years

Hi All,

i applied for both Masters and Bachelors degree verification, but before my Bachelors degree transcripts reaches WES, they released the report based on my Masters Degree documents. Is this ok???? or do i need to send my bachelors documents as well...(and pay separate fees)

Could you please look at the report, as there is a remark says "Teaching institution is not recognized".

But the Canadian equivalence is Masters Degree.

So, where this will claim points for me or not.

Your help and reply will be highly appreciated as i am very much nervous.

REPORT AS:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY Master's degree

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS
1. Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by the institution Country: United Kingdom
Credential: Master of Business Administration
Year: 2010
Awarded by: University of Wales
Institution Status: Recognized
Admission requirements: Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
Length of program: One year
Major/Specialization: Business Administration
Canadian Equivalency: Master's degree

Remarks: The program was taught at the London School of Commerce,
which is a non-recognized institution.

Please reply

Hi akii258

I am almost in the similar situation of yours. In my case, I have sent only my Bachelors to the ICAS as my MBA from Uni of Wales, UK is a validated degree and ICAS won't assess that degree.

In your situation, since they have confirmed that it is

Canadian Equivalency: Master's degree
Institution Status: Recognized

You will certainly receive points for Canadian Masters degree, though you have a note: "Remarks: The program was taught at the London School of Commerce,
which is a non-recognized institution"-- Dont worry about this.

Please lemme know your e-mail address if possible as I am planning to for assessment through WES and I have some questions on the same.

Thanks
