Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hello! Does anyone know how was the process of upfront medical? May binigay skn ang SLEC ermita na form, ano po gagawin ko dun? Hehe pls help! Thanks in advance

hello fellow kababayans,

Share ko lang some infos regarding study permit application.

Much better kung mag paper based application kayo. From my experience (lalo na kung medyo time constraint kayo and september intake is just a month away) may mga glitches kasi minsan pag online application. Unlike pag paper based kung ano ung na gather mong documents yun din ang marereceive ng VFS. may mga cases kasi na hindi completely na upload ung ibang attachments.

It only took me 3 weeks to get the study permit. I submitted my application and supporting documents personally sa VFS Makati. The good thing about that is, they will scrutinize the application itself and the documents para wala kang ma miss and what not.

Then for MR naman. I went to SLEC ermita. before kayo umuwi you can ask them kung ok lahat ng test. They usually advise you na tapos na and kung ok ung mga results. I was advised by a doctor who physical examined me to follow up after a week to verify if they have submitted the results to CIC. Usually 3-4 weeks ang time table nila to submit to CIC. Pero you can request them to put a note that you have a tight deadline. Then follow up again from time to time. It took 2 weeks for my medical results to be forwarded to CIC.

Hello frustrated! Thanks for the info. I have called cic last night they said i can write a letter back to the VO through their online message facility, however, it is not available on my account, so they emailed me an alternative way to contact them about my concern. Anyway we decided to have our medicals done n lng kasi we don't have much time, sept intake kasi ako baka ma delay pa because of this. My college is called Canadian college in vancouver. Under sa DLI yong college ko buti n lng hehehek kasi when i was still in london plano ko before june ako mag apply baka kasi wala sa list yong college but they assured me that there is nothing to worry about the new rules and when i check on the first of june nandun sila sa list. Are you in ca na frustrated if you don't mind me asking?

We are still in Manila. Leaving first week of August.

hi guys im helping my brother in law to filled up the application for student permit, but i got stock in one question of the application for temporary resident visa #8
it says previous travel:
since the age of 18 or during the past 5 years, whichever is more recent......

my brother in law is 17 turning 18 on november we are to apply next week and the course start next year january thats mean he will be 18 when he arrives, so im also confuse if i should filled up the custodianship declaration :/ is there any phone from cic that they can answer this question cause he is apply in outside canada and im in canada ;D

Work............ Five years experience as a product development engineer at a local semiconductor plant
Three published industry papers, two international conferences/training
Visas............ US and Chinese visas
Funds.......... ~700k PHP from parents (bank certificate + 6 mos statements)
~200k PHP personal savings (bank certificate + 6 mos statements)
20k CAD funding from thesis supervisor (letter of admission)

I included a two-page SOP, and a three-page breakdown of funds and expenses. I also included certificates from technical paper presentations, diploma, TOR, DOST clearances for my past offshore trips, old and new passports, certificate of employment, signed letter of support from my parents, and my father's active employment contract and visa stamps. I also included an NBI clearance certificate and a copy of the medical report from IOM which I got in early May for my first study permit application.

Ayun. Hope this is helpful! I'll book my flight as soon as I receive my passport.
