Were your passports was received on Friday 11th, 2014?

I do not have a tracker number for the return envelope so cant check on my end , but when your return tracker gets activated could you please give a heads up as mine should be around the same time.

fingers crossed, my only concern that I should receive it safely as it happened with one of my frens that his passport got lost and then the whole mess later. I know the chances are mere of that happening but just do not want anything to slip.

Hopefully I get it safe and sound, put all this worry to bed at once and for all

Landed @ Peace Bridge yesterday

It was actually very smooth, I went to the boarder around 1pm and stayed in Buffalo for few hours (I have U.S Visa) just to shop around and had a dinner at the cheesecake factory, came back around 830 at night. Told the officer that I am doing my landing, he asked some general questions and indicate me to park the car and go into the immigration office.

I guess it was because it was at night, there was no line-up and I am basically the first person in the line. The officer was pretty nice, asked me if I first came here as a student, confirmed some information on the CoPR and asked me to sign it. Afterwards, told me I can bring that to update my S.I.N etc and PR card will come in mail then congrats me and its done

Much faster than I thought and not complicated at all. Good luck everyone here in the forum

I did medicals 4 weeks ago but ecas is still not updated. According to the clinic they have results within the first 5 days and will upload it in the next 5.
How long does it take in average for ECAS to be updated? Maybe I should drive to the clinic and ask. They don't tell you anything via phone ...

ECAS status a little unpredictable and we cannot depend on it all the time. Dont be surprised if you see PPR request very soon.

Having said that, 4 weeks is a lot of time to upload medicals. It makes sense to drive to the clinic and ask(if it is not too far). It would atleast give you a better status of the medicals, in case there were any issues found.

Do you have to land on a weekday, or weekend is fine as well?
Do you have to carry anything besides PP and CoPR for landing?

I sent additional documents 4 weeks ago and still waiting (it was about my intention to reside outside Quebec). But other applicants received additional information request and get their MR couple days after. So I guess that can be soon or later...

There's no silly questions
You can land 7 days / week, whenever you want. Simply check the hours of
operation at your local crossing to make sure they're actually open.
Re required documents, I would recommend reading through this post:

Toby is right (alway is) when checking if your particular border crossing is open google its busy times because

1.I wouldnt want to wait for all the traffic
2. I have herd of people being told to come back later cus they are too busy...this may be a rumor but why risk it
