They already have the South Asian community vote in their pocket. Have you seen India's processing times? Max 6 months or so! But then the Indians are active in politics, they volunteer for political parties, raise funds for them and then accordingly get their interests served. Many other minorities do the same.

Why would any party in power care about Pakistanis? Do you see any involvement of us Pakistanis in politics, community servicing, heck even in legislature? Zero representation anywhere.Mississauga has one of the highest concentration of Pakistanis and they don't even have a single Pakistani on the city council. All we do is whine, complain, say all sorts of religious words and just pray everything will be okay.

It is pretty comical at times. You can view this above point in action on this forum itself.

You can complain and pray as much as you want unless you get involved yourself with the people who make up the legislature, nothing will change.

So get out there support a political party (Liberals ) which is closely aligned with your interests, volunteer for them, donate to them and be part of the change for once!

the problem is we want to build imaginary ummah ghetto's and not get out and experience the canadian way of life. instead of acting confident and building a presence in this community- we isolate ourselves behind myopic religious thoughts...

our kids dont even turn 10 and we already start thinking of hooking him/her up with their first cousins! sick!

I think the problem is most Pakistanis still have the mentality that politics is for chors (thieves)..... n so not many kids r encouraged to go into politics by their parents..... how many paki doctors n engineers can we have!??.... we need more politicians..... someone to represent our community's voice among the voices of the other communities in this country..... imagine a Pakistani Canadian as an MP or a PM!.... I hope it happens in my lifetime!

Walaikum Assalam Sister. The last tracking number for CHC-ISB specific series was 23010505788 on Dec 20th. After that they have been using regular sequence and not CHC-ISB specific. I have been thinking to run the series and filter out based on Origin as ISLAMABAD and Shipper as either None or CHC. This will neither guarantee that all of them are from CHC nor the passport returns from CHC.

Usually the passport is shipped out the day status is changed to "Decision Made". Congratulations and buckle up!

i am back from my trip to kabul. I went to visit my husband and it was the best time of my life. it feels like a dream now. back to usual life, talking via skype lol

I took plenty of pictures, and have my package of pictures and boarding passes and photocopy of stamped passport ready to send. i wanted to know from those who have sent additional information after a visit to their spouse, how they did it, how it has affected their timeline, and anything more would be nice

Great news here regarding my parents sponsorship case that I filed in 2009, Islamabad has sent the attached PHEP letter asking to submit passports with a note saying "your immigrant visa appears ready for issuance"
Is there a way we can send them the passports without my parents having to visit Pakistan (parents are in Canada on supervisa)? or can we ask someone going to Pakistan to take the passports and courier it to CHC Islamabad and then send it back to us when the visas are stamped?

Because they are saying in the letter "our office cannot send passports overseas, you must provide an address in Pakistan to where a courier company can deliver" also they are saying "Do not send passports through international courier if you are not currently in Pakistan"

Replied to your question in the parental thread.....

Pakistani passport cannot be sent to/from Pakistan by mail or courier.
Either person flies to Pak, or maybe have the Principal applicant carry the rest in his/her luggage, alongwith signed/authentic letter from those whose paasspports are being carried. Carry evidence such as the PPR letter

Same is the case with CRIMINIALITY ASSESSMENT, the DUE DATE mentioned is of April 2013, and the STATUS is NOT STARTED.

Should I contact them back to clarify this? or what should I do to confirm if this is correct or a mistake?

I applied in Mar 2013 and got the approval letter in April.
