Yes, I want to celebrate this milestone with you guys, my waiting support system.

Like 75th wedding anniversaries, I'm one of those lucky ones who will have stories to tell my grand kids. I will be able to share adventures of waiting up to six months after my medicals, when normally it's a few weeks, without a word from CIC. All while reading others' stories, problems, dramas...

So have a beer in the name of #%^@&^*?}! waiting :)

I look forward to reading more of your questions, good and bad, your rants, your happy stories, and your fake stories, too.

Be happy everybody :)

Why you don't send an email to CIC, may be your mail is lost in the postage department.

Mail : london-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

Thanks for your kind words Oyoole, I'm relaxed. It's just so inconvenient having 95% certainty that I'll have to move countries before July - how can anybody plan like this?

Gurdeep, I've sent a couple of emails these last 4 months with no avail. But last January 31st I found out the option to send a "Case Specific" email, I sent one. The reply came from re-caracas-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca so from the address you sent me I assume the mail for the Caracas office is the same but, without the "re-".

I'll make a post a soon as (if) I get a reply.

I realised afetr posting the message that you may not apply from london office, but no difference - this is universal email address for CIC you just have to change the country name for your CIC office rest all is same. When you get a reply againt this email it "re-" will be added in the begining - that means reply. Don't worry you will get reply very soon. Dont get depressed.

Hi Yojimbo,

Sorry about the delay, hope you get your reply soon one of these days.

Would you be kind enough to let me know what you on-line status is ?

I have a problem similar to yours my medicals were done on 4 October, 2007. And still waiting like you. My visa office is Singapore.

Do you think I can make an enquiry by email and would I be correct to use the address <singapore-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca>

Please let me know,

Thank you
Best Wishes,

Mike,

Ps Gurdeep - Sursikal, "ke gal" do you think the email address I quoted above is correct, please let me know and thanks in advance... Mike..

Thanks, I hope I get a response soon, too.

My online status is "In Process" *click it and...* "We started processing your app..."

I used the "case specific" contact link for my visa office (Caracas) from the contact link in the cic.gc.ca website. The automated reply came from the address I posted.

Maybe someone from Singapore can tell you a bit more about what address to use.

Good luck 2u2

I'm from Venezuela.

But I know I'm not the only one in this sea of waiting, there are others, with vessels from different countries, floating around in the same 6-mo-after-meds current.

-how about that for an analogy.

What I beleive you got the reply from the mail you sent on address I have given you. re- means reply. When you send an email on that address, your mail will be forwarded to specific officer and when he reply it come through re- address. In my case whenevr I sent an email I always get the acknowledgement and reply too. But when I sent email through the Email form on hteir website I never got the reply. Anyway wish you good luck.

So basically you're suggesting to send an email directly from my email account?
