Hi there,

I would like to know if somebody has the same situation as mine. I have YNP approval at the same time I'm waiting for my working visa approval under semi-skilled work (NOC C). My nomination is under Critical Impact Worker (unskilled category). My employer told me that if my working visa (through LMO) is approved my family can apply a separate visa to enter Canada using LOA? Is it true that they can apply like open work permit for my husband and TRV for my daughter (5 y/o) using our LOA from YNP office and they can come to Canada even my work is not skilled category? Or what do you suggest for them to come to Canada using our LOA? Is it better to wait for PR approval before coming to Canada or apply TRV for them to come then wait for approval within Canada?

Thanks for your input guys :)

If you get WP visa, your spouse and family are able to apply open work permit visa. My personal opinion based many cases that people landed in Canada by using WP visa/TRV , and then apply PR inside Canada which process is much fast.

You can find something here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/laws-policy/agreements/yukon/can-yukon-agree-2008.asp#annex-a

I am applying YNP too and I am outside Canada, also my family. I would like to bring them along with me like you. If you have any news, please share.

Hi,

Do you think even semi-skilled work I can bring my family? As far as I know only Skilled Work Category that I would be able to bring my family. Anybody here has a personal experience or have read on different thread? Please share. Need your advice. Thanks :)

I had had the same question as yours and I also sent an email to Yukon government. They replied me above link and the answer is yes. Federal skilled workers can bring their family but not federal semi-skilled workers. But in this condition, you are nominated by particular province and become a nominee, then you are able to bring your family.

I have an additional question to you, how long could you get nomination? 2 months?

Hi,

Thanks for the info. Actually I already checked the site and yes I can bring my family with me even though our LOA is low-skilled category. You can check this site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=177&t=17 so I'll apply for my husband's open work permit and study permit for my daughter.

We got our nomination for 12 weeks, if your applications are complete with no additional documents needed it will take 8-12weeks. Good luck :)

Hi,

May I know if you're applying for Skilled Worker category or Critical Impact (low skilled)? Where in Yukon you're gonna work? :)

Hi,

I am applying for Critical Impact category (NOC - C) and I am going to work in Whitehorse. Really nice to know you! My employer sent nomination application in April 2013, I hope everything will be ok. I found you and I have something in common as well :) I am female and I also wonder how to bring my husband and my son along with me under Critical Impact category, even more, I would like to apply open worker permit for my husband.

I am considering about bank status for prooving financial issue to increase visa approvement. How much money should I have for a family of 3 people and Do I have to commit to any saving timeline of bank?

Hi,

Are you from Philippines? Your LICO should be fit for family member of 3 including yourself. If your salary is below LICO bracket your applications might be refused. Are you applying under an agent or agency? :)

I am from Vietnam and I tend to apply by my own. I havent sent any application yet, all documents are prepared and sent by my employer these days. My salary fit well to minimun income of Yukon government's requirement folowing this document http://www.immigration.gov.yk.ca/pdf/ynp_geo.pdf and yukon also replied to me that my income is satisfy. But I found that it does not meet federal income table 2013 of Canada http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5196ETOC.asp

I wonder when I get nomination, I will send application to cic for my family's visa and work-permit. Are they gonna assest to which standard, Yukon territory or Federal?

I heard someone told me that beside income, I should have about $10,000 for myself (the applicant) and $2,000 for each additional person in my bank account. I dont know is it true? If so, do I have to commit any saving timeline of a bank or just show how much money I have to cic?

What about you? Are you applying under an agent?
