Call from Canadian Embassy

Hello,

My friend applied for student and he got the visa last week, yesterday he got a call asking him to re-submit the passport as there was some error, but they have not mentioned what error. My friend is tensed. Can any one help why they might have asked to resubmit?

It is strange that they are calling after giving visa , there must be some change they require..........

Returining passport is risky , I think ur friend should urgently book ticket and leave India .

this will be a mistake...

just in case if they want to cancel the visa they can cancel it online and they will make him return from the Canada port of entry.

just go and submit your passport. Lets face what they want..



But last time i resubmitted my and my spouse passport, they cancelled my VISA....

forget about all these...be positive...as you have nothing to do...

as mentioned by gunpowder above , yes they will return him from canada. he should not take risk at all.

Not a wise option. What if he travels on a document that has been cancelled by CHC? He will have to return from the POE.

You mean you were issued a visa and then you were asked to return your passport and they have cancelled your visa? If so then what did they mention in their refusal letter?

my friend received this type of call last time and his visa was canceled due some fake documents they discovered after Visa was issued

Return the passport as requested by the embassy and hope for the best...

There is absolutely no point of booking a ticket and coming to Canada if they have asked you to return it because of some error they need to rectify. The moment they sent the notification to the person, they must have updated their database for with reference to the Passport Number. And continuing in such a case can be worse as you can be sent back from POE Canada.

Just simply return the PP and hope for the best. Since your documents are not fake, it might be just a minor error they need to fix and update in their records

If they are calling back for the passport.. they simply need it.. It is your own passport but the visa they affixed on your passport is a property of the Canadian government. Best option is to follow their instructions.. otherwise you might end up losing most of your other options still available to you..

yes...my 5years visa...
