Hello. We r just waiting for this last step in the process
We got the ssp certificate but we have problems with the letter CIC must sent to apply for the antecedentes registrales.
Has anyone had the experience of being late in the 60 days they give you to send back the letters???

I don't know what to do
I sent a prepaid bill with dhl on June 14 but they hasn't answered I'm going crazy. Tuesday July 10 is my deadline

Any comment or experience??

Thanks

you should send them an email ASAP and explain to them that you have not received it yet and that you sent a prepaid airway bill and ask for an extension of time.

Yes I would definitely contact them ASAP. If you look through the Mexico thread, gricelanora wasn't able to hand in their checks in time and was sent a refusal letter and now is going through the appeal process.

Thank God for this forum! :D

My husband sent all the documents to the Mexican Embassy in DF overnight by UPS on 27/06 and it was received on 28/06.
Ok, so from my understanding the Mexican Embassy will send the certificate directly to the CPC.
Is there a way that I can find out when they send it?
I hate that it's so hard to get any info for anything from the CIC!!!

I'm worried that they'll lose it, misplace it or whatnot... We've have the other certificate coming by DHL this week and the medicals have been sent... All we're waiting for is the PGR one and the fact that we have no control over it drives me crazy!!!! lol

You could try to send them a case specific enquiry in a few weeks to see if they've received it and can give you an ETA. Good luck!

Send a case inquiry to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico and they will inform you the status of your Police Records application. They should answer in a couple of days.

Good afternoon,

I just want to share my experience. I'm living in Canada and waiting for my PPR. On May 7th Los Angeles Office requested medicals and Federal Police certificate from Mexico. I did the medicals and send all the requirements to the mexican embassy to obtain the certificate. I'm still waiting and no answer from Los Angeles office. Hopefuly everything is ok but it's been almost three months!

hi! are you talking about the state ones or the PGR one. The state ones are pretty easy to get and the federal (PGR) ones seem pretty straightforward as well but take 10 days. You can get all the requirements on the website. They have even opened some offices in other states of mexico in March 2012, so that you don´t have to go all the way to Mexico city for the Informe de Datos registrales.
Hi Nessa!
I was asked to send "(1)State Police Certificate from Nuevo Leon,State of Mexico, and (2)The Federal Police Certificate from Mexico". And I see that on the website (http :/ /www .cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/ police-cert/north-america...) it says that the Federal police certificate must be from the Procuraduria General de la Republica (PGR) and the steps to get it but it DOES NOT say how to get the State polices Certificates. How do you get this ones? you mention is very easy but i cannot find where to get them! Maybe you can tell me how?

Hola!

I have some questions about the PCCs please, give me some advise

The webpage says that I have to provide:

• Certificate from Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) - Informe de datos registrales
• Certificate from Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP).

And they also say that “The visa office where you submit your application will contact you when they need this information”

So here are my Questions/doubts....

1.- First doubt, I will go to Mexico soon for holidays, so I was thinking that maybe I could start to process this certificates, but I am quite unsure because they haven´t really requested them. So far I have received the AOR and medical request. My application is inland (Sydney, NS). Is it a good idea?

2.- About the SSP certificate, the instructions are not so clear for me, my understanding is that I can go directly to the SSP, receive the certificate and I send it to the visa office. So, in this case, (and different from the medical results and PGR certificate) I can receive the results and (me) send it to the visa office? Or they have to send the results directly to the visa office (like meds and PGR)?

3.- Provided I could process the SSP by myself, and me getting the certificate, then I could send that certificate together with the required documents to process the PGR certificate (fingerprints, passport Bio, pics..) to the Mexico Visa Office (Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra....) anyways, I would have to send to the same place the same documents from Canada. The difference is that I would send it from Mexico.

Any advise on this?
Can you please share your experience with this process?

Muchas gracias!!

1. Yes, excellent idea.

2. You can get the SSP in person with your birth certificate, ID in Coyoacan. Have it translated officially and send it in to your VO. The newest rules indicate the Canadian Embassy in Mexico can also process it for you, but it may take some time.

3. For the PGR, you need a request letter from a government agency. Some Mexican Embassies/consulates give them out so you can check before you travel to Mexico. If you can get it, the PGR will give you the results max 10 days later (though they are seem to be going a bit faster recently). Then you can send it in yourself. Alternatively, you can send in the requirements to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico so that they process it for you. See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/outside-mexico.asp for details.

Regarding the SPP: We sent in a message to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico through the CIC website to explain that my wife(Mexican) doesn't live in Mexico and our local embassy(Mexican Embassy in Costa Rica) had no idea how to help us. They returned the message within 3 working days asking us for specific info they required so that the could order it for us.
Here is the contents of the reply:

Mr./Mme,

Please note that as this is an exeptional case, we can process your request. Please reply to this e-mail and send your full name, date of birth, file number and information regarding the office processing your file. Processing time for a federal police certificate from SSP takes 30-60 business days. Results will be sent directly to the CIC Office/Mission processing your file.

Yours sincerely,
Immigration Section (pgb)

We're very happy as now we don't need to fly to DF for the paperwork.

We submitted the application with the PGR in July, which we obtained during a visit to family in Monterey in June. Hope that helps. :D

It takes the PGR 2 weeks max from when they receive the request (same as if you applied in person). Plus processing time at the Canadian Embassy.

I would send the Canadian Embassy in Mexico a case specific enquiry in 5-6 weeks or so to ask whether they've forwarded the results to your VO yet.
