Hi @armoured Asking directly as I am pretty sure you would know the answer to this one, it might be a dumb question sorry :)
Among the two questions below which ones should I provide passport, PR, Nexus vs Visas such as Visitor visas, Work visas from past?

#1 Do you currently, or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?

#2 Have you ever held travel documents or passports during your 5-year eligibility period?

For 1: I would only include citizenship, PR status, and long-term work visas (i.e. > 6 mos.).

2. Passports or rare other travel docs (not visas). Some seem to include Nexus here, which doesn't make sense to me, but certainly won't hurt.

I submitted a web form to IRCC regarding our citizenship application in October 2025. Anyone know generally how long it takes to hear back? Thanks in advance

Follow in the thread marked October 2025 - that will give you an idea of what's happening to others. Keep in mind they don't all proceed at same pace but rough idea.

I came to canada as a International student on Dec 16th 2019 and has study permit till November 30th 2021.
I applied PostGraduation work permit on August 12 th 2021 after getting documents from my college

Not sure what to fill in that gap from December 1 at 2021 till Jan14th 2022

Thanks for your reply. I actually worded my question wrong. What I meant to say is I filled out a web form on the IRCC website. We received an email from IRCC stating we can create an account on the tracker web page to track the status of the citizenship application as it's almost complete. I was wondering how long it take ls for IRCC to reply to a web form request. Also when we try to create an account on the status tracker site it says it will send a one time pass code to the email that was associated to the application, but I never get the code , tried so many times. They obviously have my email correct as I received 2 emails from the already. Any insite as to what's causing this? Thanks again

Webform replies can take ages. I don't know answer to your other q's. Follow in the month of your application (and maybe one or two back/one forward and/or post questions there, as that's where others at your stage will be facing the same issues.

So for #1 if I have for example visited Dubai for a month sometime in the past, I dont have to add that?
Also if I have a US visitor visa, which is normally valid for 10 years should I mention that from the issuance date through expiry?

Have a new question, this one has become tricky. For the english language proficiency, I submitted IELTS during my PR but I only have a screenshot and do not have the original transcript anymore anywhere. IELTS itself doesnt have it as its more than 5 years old. What should I do for this situation? Can I just submit the screenshot which has the scores, date taken etc.? or should I submit some additional documentation to support this?

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the Canadian citizenship application form.
If someone entered Canada on a visitor visa in November 2021, and later became a Permanent Resident(spousal immigration category) in January 2022.
In the citizenship application, there’s a question that asks:
“During your 5-year eligibility period, did you have a valid temporary resident status before becoming a permanent resident?”
The available options are YES or NO.
Could someone please confirm what the correct answer should be in this situation?

Hello Experts!

Need your kind help for the following:
For Parents Citizenship application, can we apply online on their behalf? As per my understanding, For online application they need to create account and fill it themselves? Representative can only help answer questions. So that means we need to send paper application for them if I want to fill it for them?

Also, are we able to assist then with oath ceremony? Do we have to request it when we apply or when we receive oath invitation?
(For 60+ Language and test exempt)
