I logged in to the tracker after a while today (September 16) and was pleasantly surprised to see Citizenship Ceremony status turned to ‘In progress’ on September 8.

Orange box atop the website says the oath is scheduled for October 1.

Still haven’t received the email with ceremony details so waiting for it with bated breath.

No need to worry, it will come as the page says - not later than six days before the ceremony.

Anyone else waiting for the next batch updates on the applications ...last updates I had on my tracker was Aug 27th... LLP is still in progress.

Citizenship Ceremony updated to In Progress today (Sept 17, 2025). Oath scheduled for Oct 6, 2025! Have not received the email yet - so don't know if it's in person or virtual.

This is super exciting but slightly worried it will disrupt my travel plans in November. Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to get the citizenship certificate and passport? And how does the rescheduling of Oath ceremony work? Can I just contact them and ask to reschedule to December? Really don't want to reschedule but might have to do it.

My LPP was marked complete on sep 15 and the updates reflected today on the tracker .

AOR: May 15 (Vancouver location, applied on 14th Apr ), application with minor child -

Test: June 22 → Tracker update July 2
FP Request: July 17
FP Completed: July 19 (IRCC updated it on Aug 6 , I called to confirm)
Ghost update : Aug 13
BG: Completed Aug 28 → Marked Aug 30

LPP: Completed Sep 15 → Reflected today (Sep 17) on tracker

My last update was in the big August 13 batch for test completed. Since then no update on BG or LPP! Being patient

No need to worry — you can apply for your passport 48 hours after the ceremony. You can opt for the express service for the passport.

I have oath on Oct 1st as well and my spouse got on Oct 6th , both are waiting for instructions , we are May 17th applicants

How is that possible? Isn't the e-certificate the same as proof of citizenship? So you got the proof and can get your passport before taking your oath? Very confusing.

Edit:

Its an email containing the portal and the code which you will be using to download your certificate once you've attended the oath.

Ah! That makes a lot more sense.
