Hi everyone,

I already have my PR card from a soft landing and will be landing in Toronto, Ontario, soon. I need a Canadian postpaid SIM card for two main reasons:

1. To have a working number immediately after landing.

2. To use the bill as proof of address and start building credit.

I have a local address (my friend’s, who is a Canadian citizen) for billing purposes.

Is it possible to get a postpaid SIM card delivered before I arrive? If not, what’s the best way to get one quickly after landing?

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly app
reciated. Thanks!

Couldn't you ask your friend to get one (from places like Superstore) and then mail / courier to you?

You can't get a postpaid SIM delivered before arrival, as in-person ID verification is usually required. After landing, get a prepaid SIM at the airport, then visit a carrier store with your PR card and local address to switch to postpaid. Koodo and Fido are good options for newcomers.
