Got a letter from the Montreal office this morning. Before they can schedule my landing interview, I have to check a copy of the CoPR for incorrect information and send the 2 pictures for the PR card in advance.

Now I saw that they didn't fill in my place of birth, is a correction going to delay everything again (do they reprint the CoPR in the local office, or does it go through Vegreville)?

I'm going to walk by the office today to see if I can speak to someone there about this. Hanging on the phone for CIC HotLine takes too much of my time.

when i went to the quebec city local office they took the photos there and i signed and checkd the COPR there , directly at the landing interview. i guess local offices work differently. regarding the place of birth, also in my case it didn't show. the officer didn't seem to be concerned about that but when i told her she put anyway a note at the bottom of the page that indicated my place of birth.

Got there at the end of the afternoon (16:00), doors locked, nobody at reception (read: reception area the size of my bathroom), so couldn't ask any questions or drop off my envelope.

Back home I called CIC, the agent had to think about an answer, because he didn't know local offices send a photocopy of the CoPR for verification. In the end he said that I should correct it, just to be sure. I asked if it would cause any delays. He explained that local offices print the CoPR themselves (Vegreville doesn't even provide the first one for the local office), so it shouldn't cause delays.

Cool! So that could mean that we can land together! 8 September's been a while. Maybe they're waiting for a minimum amount of immigrants for a landing event. I suspect CIC Montreal will receive my envelope tomorrow, so I'm crossing my fingers for some fast news back.

/edit: P.S. I'm pretty flexible if you'd feel like grabbing a coffee any time this month. :)

don't trust what they say at the call centre, never trust. having experience with this i can tell you that they have told me so many different dates and none of them was accurate. imagine the same day that i have received my landing letter they told me on the phone that i had to wait another 2 months minimum to have news from them.10 minutes later i go to the post office and what do i find?: the landing interview letter which had been sent 8 days earlier...

When it comes to accurate dates from the CIC hotline, you should take them with a serious grain of salt.

Today it has been 2 months that my boyfriend received his CSQ ... Still no news! I know we are not at the 10 months mark yet but I am secretly hoping to get AIP soon.... The last weeks/ months are so long and painful !

At least we know they requested RCMP clearance !!

Can't wait to hear !!!!

@Sa_ja: currently the waiting time has reached 11 months, telling from the inland 2010 topic responses. Vegreville is now working on the beginning of November's applicants (and that's for AiP only).

My wife can't make it to the landing appointment, since she's out of the city for work. Sending a letter to the office to reschedule (no phone number is publicly available for local offices :().
