There is no specific financial amount required, but they do ask you show you can support those you are sponsoring. Job is the easiest way to do so.Is it a prerequisite to show funds for 3 people or that won't apply as i am a PR ?

Hi, Thank you so much for sharing your timeline in the signature, did you apply for spousal sponsorship through the new online portal? Your response would be much appreciated as I am about to file my spouse's application. Thanks in advanceI don't think it will be a problem. Not familiar with this situation though. I am in the same boat as you and I will also be traveling. From what I have read, you should be fine if the trip is not too long (meaning you still have a job in Canada) or you've been approved as sponsor and your permanent address doesn't move out of Canada. Let's see what others say as well.
