I have used a third-party website (Cheapoair.ca).. It took my old passport details (India). When I went to the airport and told them I had recently gotten my citizenship and surrendered my Indian passport, they accepted my new passport as a travel document.

After getting your e-certificate, you can go to the Passport Canada office.. Tell them that you have to travel on so and so date, and they will ask you to pick up the passport two days before travel.. Make sure to take your air ticket along with you, just in case.. I did get mine in a week...

Hello, I called BLS on March 13th and they confirmed that they have received the application. Currently, it is being processed at the Consulate.

You should treat the surrender of your passport as "RENUNCIATION OF YOUR INDIAN CITIZENSHIP." It has nothing to do with whether your passport is expired or active.

I have checked it already it still shows the same address ... No change in that!

Does anybody know that we need to submit both the Indian passports, expired and non-expired? Or will just the non-expired be sufficient for the surrender?

Call the BLS Customer care and ask for the Pick up and drop off service. They will ask for your Name/Address/Passport number/ Number of Applicants... Then, they will send you an email with the online payment link... Before the payment, be sure to check for any spelling mistakes and when you are...
