A UCI number starting with CAN is a temp UCI ad will change to a permanent one which will be either a 8 or a 10 digit number and will look like:

11-1234-5678 or
1234-5678

See https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=013&top=4

Since you have a UCI before, once your application processing starts, you will get the same UCI on this application too. Once you have a UCI it will remain the same for as many applications you file, including the citizenship application after you become a PR.
Thank you @legalfalcon
So that means. In the question "have you applied for PR application before ? " I have to answer 'yes" and for the question "Does Neema have a UCI number?" I should provide the UCI number I received from my previous application. Is that correct? Just wanted to confirm.

@legalfalcon Sorry, I am back with another set of questions... I'm not sure how accurate the information online is but i read that applications that are reopened after judicial review should be processed in priority and within 15 days after receiving additional documents. Do you know if thats true?

Also, i have uploaded additional documents (letter from lawyer) and for almost 2 weeks now it still says "additional documents uploaded ", when usually it says additional documents submitted and one receives an email stating IRCC received the documents and are reviewing. I am worried that IRCC haven't received it. I spoke to a CIC agent who told me they saw the additional information uploaded few days before Christmas but that they weren't able to see if IRCC officer on file saw the additional documents. What are my options in this scenario? They have never responded to any of my 5 webforms in the past year so i gave up on that... please advice

Your documents only have to be valid as on the date you file your application, if they subsequently expire, you do not need to submit updated documents.

Did you not get an upfront medical done?

No i haven't done upfront medical.

I am PNP paper applicant and outland.

Your advise is highly recommended for upfront medical.

Should I wait for MR or i should go for upfront ?

@legalfalcon do I scan all the pages of passport? I don't have any stamps on my new passport. Is it still required to be scanned? I will be scanning my old passport with all the stamped pages only and attaching it along with LOE. Will that suffice?

Thank you!

Hi @legalfalcon,

Are COPR holder who are extended family members of Canadian Citizens exempted from travel restrictions ?

IF you have no visas (expired or valid) and no entry or departure stamps, then only the biographical pages are required. However, to be on the safer side, scan all pages of your current passport and upload.

Also see the instructions on next to the upload window.

As per IRCC:

Copy of the biographical data page of a passport or travel document
Purpose
To confirm the applicant's identity
Document requirements
  • A clear and legible copy of the biographical data page of a passport or travel document must be provided.

If you are paper based applicant, wait for IRCC to send your a request for meds.

If you get them meds done now, they may expire, so the later you do them, the better it is.

The 15 days is for TRV applications. There will be a deadline for evaluating the PR applications too, but will depend on the internal manuals. I will have to look for it.

Don't be too concerned about the status on your online account, as it may not have been updated. There are delays across the board.

Internal IRCC e-mails and policies obtained through ATIP reveal that the visa office in India has adopted a policy of aggressively pursuing misrepresentation to "send a message to the communities" in India. See https://bit.ly/3pK924p

Hello, @legalfalcon thanks a lot for clarifying my doubts. But apart from open-source searches, what are the other kinds of searches done by IRCC?

@caipsnotes @legalfalcon Do you if there is an internal policy on responding to those under 'Recommend Interview' for outland applicants. I was really hoping the virtual landing process would be adopted for those under these category
