Hey did you got you OWP ?
No; I think I'm one of those people that won't get it until AIP. The matter was escalated to my MP's office, and they couldn't give them a reason why, either. Just kept saying that it was received and being processed.

Pre-Assessed..
Hi guys!
Did anyone receive their AIP or CoPR in the mail? (not e-mail) asking to know how much longer is it going to take as I'd like to get the health card ASAP.
Or has anyone tried to get the OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) with a printout of the email? (I know they don't accept printouts, but wondering if someone got lucky...

Thank you!
Hi, I just received approval for my spouse in CIC account. It says you application is approved and under document section there is document number and status as valid. But I don't see any CoPR document attached to it, which I can download! Do they send it via email or mail?

i dont know about COPR yet because I am still waiting for mine but when I got my work permit I first saw the document number and expiration date on my CIC account and then I got it in the postal mail a couple weeks later but that was way before covid so maybe now they send it digitally? Not sure

It makes sense. However, I am seeing some applicants informing that they have received an email and physical document in post as well after 2-3 weeks. So, wanted to check if that still holds true.

Oh goodness, I'm so sorry! I hate how they are using COVID as an excuse. I don't doubt that the pandemic caused major delays, but when you read about 2020 applicants recently getting their OWPs, it's frustrating that that is really not an excuse in our case.

How long did it take for you to get the copr document by email once you saw it on your cic account?

If you apply for OHIP using AIP, the validity will be for a year. You will have to update your OHIP when you get your copr/PR card to change the validity.
I went yesterday and showed them the CoPR email, but the lady requested a printout. HA! Gave her the printout and got my health card, which is good for 7 years

I think I am also in the almost same status. I have received a letter on 11th August stating that

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.
Furthermore, we are pleased to advise you that the processing of your application has been
completed. The Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada office in IRCC ETOBICOKE will
contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident
application.
Then on 13th I got an email from IRCC Etobicoke asking me whether I am in Canada or not. We replied Yes to it.

After that here my status changed to COMPLETE with a message "You entered Canada at the Etobicoke IRCC office on August 13, 2020 and became a Permanent Resident."

But till the time I have not received any letter or anything like CoPR. I am not sure is it the same case with everyone or not. I tried Webform and they said that I should wait and they will send me something :-D

I am not sure whether I should be excited about PR or wait till I get the PR card. Also not sure whether I can apply for OHIP or SIN number.

Yes you should be excited, this is AIP! Congratulations! COPR should come in several days, if it follows the recent pattern we've been seeing.

And you CAN apply for OHIP with this letter. See: https://www.ontario.ca/page/apply-ohip-and-get-health-card#section-2. Print it out and show it when you sign up. Not all Service Ontario people will accept the email if you just show it to them onscreen, so better to be safe than sorry and bring along the printout.

You do need to wait for COPR to apply for a SIN, though: https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin/reports/apply.html#primary. If you apply for it with the COPR letter (before you receive your PR card) you'll need the COPR letter, and your passport, driver's license, or ID showing residency in Ontario.

Hope this helps!
