Just wear anything with a collar for bio and dont wear flip flops..

Bio = fingerprints and photo
Medical = blood work, chest xray, general check up (eye vision, heartbeat count, blood pressure)

These are being done by 3rd parties accredited by the IRCC so you wont be actually meeting anyone from the Canadian government.

Goodluck!
Thank you so much!!

Could someone clear this up for me please?? I just saw this on ECAS"
  1. We sent you correspondence on June 5, 2019. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  2. We sent you medical instructions on June 6, 2019. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."
Does this mean that a letter will be sent to my husband (sponsor) address on my behalf? Because we provided them with an email that I no longer have the access to and I'm afraid that sent us those letter to that email.

Application received in Sydney office on April 29th, 2019
Still no AOR. :(
Mine was received on April 26th. So you’re still in a better place. Lol. What I can see in the tracker currently they are working on files received on April 23/24/25, so I guess we should expect AOR this week.

I’m pretty sure these emails are sent to PA’s email. I suggest you to call CIC and update your email address. Secondly, I think you can now link your application online, you should try if you haven’t done it so, and you will have all your information there.

Is your husband who is the sponsor also acting as your representative? (He had to fill a rep form and submit with the application). If he indeed is your rep then yes your request letter emails will go to him. If he is not the rep and if its your email that you provided and have no longer access to, contact IRCC asap about the email address change and request them to reissue you the medical letter again. If your additional documents was a final request then they usually don’t reissue you but you can make a strong request.
Failure to meet the 30 day deadline for both can lead to refusal of your application. I am surprised you waited so long and have not updated your email address if you knew you would not have access to the email you provided and if your husband is not your representative. If you have a GCKey account they would have requested these there but if you don’t have one, its for sure gone to the email address you cant access.

I just linked my account and there are no messages.. Do they still send messages and updates even if the account isn't linked yet?

If the account was not already linked before, the letters have gone to the email. That messages section is where the letters come if you had linked your application right after AOR and before the medical request or the additional documents request. Like I said, get in touch with IRCC Asap and let them know of the situation soon.

Yeah I will for sure have my husband contact them tomorrow.. do you think they'll issue us a new medical request right away?

My application says "We are processing your background check" in GCKey account under "Background check". However, I do not see many applications in this status in tracker. Aren't people updating the sheet or the status is something else for them?
Application received : 18th April
AOR: 31st May
SA done.

BR and MR received and will be done in next week.

Anyone could suggest an approximate timeline from here?

Not everyone has it right from the start. For some, background check processing starts later into the process. But its also possible some are just not updating it. Don’t rely on the tracker to be updated in a timely fashion. Once you give your BR, status on GCKey should change same day or within a few days (sometimes takes longer), Medicals too gets updated on GCKey once passed (can take anywhere between a few days to a week to a month). Then there’s your Sponsor Approval, File transfer, passing eligibility (PA) & BGC and finally PPR if all is good. The time for each step depends on your case and the Visa Office processing your application post transfer.
