Ok, thanks. How can one know when his security was started then? I see no dates in my gcms notes.
What I see is:

Admissibility:
Security, type: security and my UCI and name, and then a blank page with a phrase "Page 56 is withheld pursuant to section 15(1) of the Access to Information Act"

Among History part in Application the recent record is:
Field Name: Security
Action: Updated
Old value: Not started
New value:
Office: Centralized intake office

Among History part in Activities the recent record is:
Created date:
Created by:
Updated date:
Updated by:
UCI: xxx
Name: xxx
Sub activity, activity type: Security
Field Name: Status
New value:
Office: Centralized intake office

And then 7 activity records just showing my name and UCI. No field name, no sub activity, no office mentioned.

On the last page of notes there is an officer's phrase: All valid, ready to finalize.

Do you think it can be SS? And does the phrase "ready to finalize" mean anything?

i have exactly the same info in my gcms. all ss related dates are blanked out, so i really dont know when my ss started, nor do i know at what stage it is. i have the same "ready to finalize" in my notes though i dont think it means anything. 7 months since AOR now

How did you know you're in SS if gcms notes don't show "screening" term anymore?

it shows some security activities with all info blanked out and s.15(1) on top right. application has also reached 7 month mark. so it can only be ss

Where should s.15(1) be located if it's SS? Top right where, on the first page of gcms notes?
If there is no s.15(1) anywhere, just a blank page after security part saying this page is withheld according to 15(1) page of the Act, does it mean it's not SS?

All pages with security related activities or info have s.15(1) on the TOP right (in small fonts). I cannot really be certain in your case. What is your nationality and timeline?

Hello,

I was wondering if you would have any input on a situation I have with my Biometrics.

On Nov 16th, my Spouse and I went to our visa office in Paris to submit our biometrics. The information was uploaded to our profile the same night (biometrics number, date submitted and expiration date)

However, the application had been showing "Action required" for the entire 30 days until it changed to submitted after the deadline has passed it is now showing under the Biometrics section: "We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details"

I have emailed IRCC and they replied saying they verified the information on file and can confirm that our biometric results were not received by the responsible office yet. They suggested I send them again and they would be happy to forward them to the responsible office.

I will be contacting our visa office in Paris tomorrow as they are closed today, to see if they have any idea how to deal with this. But my concern is that I have nothing to send to IRCC (as the agent suggested). The visa office in Paris clearly did their job and forwarded the biometrics (since they have been uploaded to the profile and I was able to find them on the IRCC website as well)

I am confused, any input would be very appreciated!

After a document or data is sent to the VO or CPC, it takes a couple of days for it to be entered into you file. Until then you will continue to see "action required" in your my CIC account.

Just give it a few days and it will resolve.

I am having Aor 6 April 18 and my spouse is in Ss from 18 May 18.
As you already know my case My Eligibility,Criminality.Info sharing,security everything is passed.

Only security and criminality of my spouse is pending.

I applied for CBSA notes on 19 Nov 2018
And got a ghost update on 19 dec.

Now I got CBSA notes and they clearly indicate Ss started on 18 May.

But today on 29 dec I got another second ghost update in one week.
I really confused what is happening????with my case.
Every update brings hopes but nothing happens.
Does it indicates there is progress in case?And SS is over(in 7 months)

Hi I had the same case as you are. Eventually you will get it. It takes time but it will come. You just have to be more patient. Good luck

There will be a couple of security related activities, but security screening will, in most cases have only 4 activities.

A ghost update indicates a movement in your file. It could be a new note, change of visa office or an update. No one can precisely predict the reason but any movement is a good sign.

The CBSA notes give your a clear date and CSIS notes provide you whether CSIS has finished its involvement and if your file. After CSIS is done, they send their report to CBSA, which then concludes its screening and a final report is sent to IRCC.
