@legalfalcon good morning

outland Spousal sponsorship here
Sponsor’s Eligibility is approved 5-Nov-2018
Medical Request - not done yet
File is transferred to CPC Mississauga 9-Nov-2018
Gckey reflects that CiC is reviewing my eligibility as principal applicant
Background check in Progress. Will send a message when we start background check - does this
mean it has not started yet ?
I honestly made a mistake on my Background Declaration form Sched A and realized
it this week. I wasnt able to reflect on my Personal History the vacation/travels to America
that I had in 2008 (2 months vacation), 2016 (41 days vacation) .. I only put the occupations/
work history for the recent 10 years in the Background Declaration form. Is it alright if I amend
the Background Declaration form by contacting CIC through webform and politely explain to them the
honest mistake above?

Appreciate your reply on this.

Yes, you can update your background declaration and submit it to IRCC explaining that you made an error.

As regards the stage your application is at, you should instead request GCMS notes. The MyCIC status does not accurately state the stage your application is at.

Hi dear sir, in 2nd novomber 2018 i recived this kind of email from ndvo, please tell me which stage reached my application now ? is it bcg check ?

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in reference to subject’s application for admission to Canada.

Under Canada’s immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the checks are completed the next steps in this application will be determined. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

And yesterday i reacived an email that request me to pay RPRF fee which i paid that fee....and i don't know whats going on with my application, please help me ??? :( where is my application reached now ? my medical also going to expire in last december im so worry

Hello @legalfalcon,
First of all, thank you so much for supporting applicants and providing a very useful and detailed info regarding every case! This is highly appreciated!
I would be happy if you could comment on my case as well if you have some free time please.
I'm FSW PNP Outland applicant, AOR July 17, 2018. Moved to BGC on Sept 7 according to MyCIC account.
Ordered gmcs notes at the end of October, received them at the end of November.
As per the notes, eligibility, criminality and medical passed, security was initiated. Field type: usual security, not security screening.
Also on the last page of the notes it was mentioned that all is valid, ready to finalize.
No updates up to today.
My question: what do you think, does it mean everything looks good and I'm just under usual security check and will not be transferred to security screening?
If my file moved to BGC according to MyCIC account on Sept 7, does it mean CIC is processing my security since Sept 7 (ie more than 3 months already)?
At the same time you mentioned an applicant could be under security screening if his BGC is processing more than 2 months, but I'm at usual security according to gmcs notes, though it's not clear when exactly I moved to BGC.
Your comment will be very welcomed.
Thanks again

Nothing much can be inferred from these letters or emails. If you want to know precisely what stage your application is at, order GCMS notes, or you can wait it out.

The GCMS notes do not state whether you are in Security or enhanced security screening. The rule of thumb is that is your have exceeded 2 months, then the likelihood of you being in SS is very high.

The only way to know if your are in SS is through CBSA notes.

Hmm... Seems like guys were able to see their security screening in the gcms notes as per this thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/gcms-shows-security-screening-and-waiting-lets-gather-here.498854/
And mine states just "security"

You are seeing a threat from 2017. This was the case, but then IRCC started retracting that info.
Ok, thanks. How can one know when his security was started then? I see no dates in my gcms notes.
What I see is:

Admissibility:
Security, type: security and my UCI and name, and then a blank page with a phrase "Page 56 is withheld pursuant to section 15(1) of the Access to Information Act"

Among History part in Application the recent record is:
Field Name: Security
Action: Updated
Old value: Not started
New value:
Office: Centralized intake office

Among History part in Activities the recent record is:
Created date:
Created by:
Updated date:
Updated by:
UCI: xxx
Name: xxx
Sub activity, activity type: Security
Field Name: Status
New value:
Office: Centralized intake office

And then 7 activity records just showing my name and UCI. No field name, no sub activity, no office mentioned.

On the last page of notes there is an officer's phrase: All valid, ready to finalize.

Do you think it can be SS? And does the phrase "ready to finalize" mean anything?

Truly appreciate your help with this
