C-6 is supposed to be back to the Senate in any way! It has to be stamped there prior to becoming a low.
Not really.. If HOC accepts all the amendments then c6 can receive royal assent immediately. No need to be back to the senate.. But HOC will not accept all the amendments, especially the language requirements.. So it will go back to the senate where they can only discuss the amendment(s) that HOC did not accept... Others parts of the bill can not be discussed now... If senate agrees with the HOC, bam.. royal assent... If not back to HOC and so on and so forth.. You get the point.. But historically senators accept the decisions made in HOC as that represents the will of the people because unlike senators MPs are elected officials and not selected...

Just wanted to point out that it's not correct that "C-6 is supposed to be back to the Senate in any way".
I see spyfy has beaten me to it though..

I really don't think they are even gana talk about it this week. So far everything is per the books on "projected order of business".

I am seriously loosing hope :-( I been in Canada for 10years now (int. student and PR 3y ago).

I said this many times: The POB does NOT include any important content beyond the very next sitting day.

>>>>>>DO NOT<<<<<< use the POB as an indicator for anything beyond the next sitting day.

As you might have noticed, until Monday 11pm there was only one single private member's bill listed for Tuesday. Then as soon as the House adjourned at 11pm, within seconds, the POB was updated to include all the government orders.

This is what the complete POB looked like for Tuesday on Monday at 10:45pm

And this is what the POB looked like for Tuesday as published on Monday 11:00 pm

Notice the difference? So please stop paying attention to the "Subsequent days" in the POB.

Yes! You did in fact mentioned it many many times!
Thank you very much for the copy/paste, now it definitely makes sense!
I am crossing my fingers and wishing we all get some good news very very soon :-)

The last possible sitting day for HoC prior to summer recess is Friday, 23 June and
for Senate is the following Friday, 30 June.... correct?

I think this bill will never see the light , HOC will send it a day before break , senates will hold it and send it back before Christmas break and so on ..... I wish I'm wrong .

Yes, we all share the same pain. However, if naturalized citizens MPs can vote against this bill, imagine how some old-stock Canadians feel about it!
