I just got a document request asking me and my boyfriend to submit a police clearance certificate for countries we’ve lived in 6 months or more before Canada lol which is weird cause only other country we’ve every lived in before Canada is out Birth country so I don’t know what they’re asking for.

there for 6 months or more


▪ All applicants: The country where the applicant has spent most of their adult life since the age


of 18


▪ If your police certificate indicates any charges and/or convictions, you must also provide court


documents detailing the disposition of each charge and the sentence of each conviction.

In the portal no, I’ll call IRCC in a
Minute, but its weird because I only every lived in one country before Canada and they don’t asked to submit Police clearance from your birth country.

So just submit police certificate from your country
 
If someone applied in March 2025 and got BIL in May 2026. What much more time could it realistically take to get through to the remaining steps and eventual PR? Thank you.
