So your request for Biometrics and Medical Exam was before you received your AOR? That is very odd
No it was not, I got my AOR first, then Medical Exams and Biometrics, and then, I got the request for additional information about the Background certificate.

What country is your application with? My father in law is Haiti, and he is in the same position. Did medical, biometrics, received pre-arrival services, but couldn't get the requested police clearance. Just waiting to see what will happen next.

Anyone on the same situation?
Hi Kay JG,

I am a similar situation, everything has been done and additional documentation was requested (January 16), including the Colombian police certificates, which we had already requested from G4S (November 30).

We submitted the same email and payment confirmation from G4S on January 17 and haven’t heard back anything yet.

Please, keep us posted on your application

I sent the additional info on Dec 21, and we applied on Nov 19, very close to your dates. Thankfully we are not the only ones. The bright side of it is that we got everything else completed. So at this point we are still on the pool.

I hope it wont take more than 2 months of waiting after we sent the additional info.

Colombia.
In your case you should send an explanatory letter of why you can not get it. Would you mind sharing your timeline?

Has anyone heard about anyone getting full approval for this program?
How long after approval do you have to activate your visa?
What financial supports have the government put in place for the applicant?

What happens when the biometrics letter arrives but no AOR yet? So weird (but happy that it implicitly means AOR).

Also, biometrics should not required as they did them 3 years ago for their visitor visa so those should still be valid. I guess I should call CIC?

I’d say the AOR was missed to be sent, but it’s still an application in the queue to be processed.
When is a permanent residency application you need to redo them even if they are still valid.

Check this thread a few pages back, I can’t find it but someone got their visa and they posted the processing times here

Wanted to give an update since it's been rather quiet lately.

We received request for Biometrics last night. They were able to get them done today. I submitted 2 applications (1 for both parents and 1 for brother).

They did used to live in Canada 10 years ago and refugee claim was denied so we are thankful to have this opportunity to hopefully reunite our family again.
