How to get one? Local Requests A Certificado de Antecedentes Penales is required from the Dirección Nacional del Registro Nacional de Reincidencia in Buenos Aires or at branches throughout the country. You must make the request in person and fingerprints will be taken. The petition must specifically mention that the certificate is requested “con excepción al artículo 51 del Código Penal”. The certificate must be issued by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Human Rights. Non-Resident Requests You can obtain the Certificado de Antecedentes Penales by submitting an application with applicable fees at an Argentine consular office. Armenia Police Certificate needed? Yes. How to get one? You may designate a representative with power of attorney to apply on your behalf or to pick up the certificate, but not both. You must present yourself at the Bundespolizeikommissariat or Bezirkhauptmannschaft at least once. Non-Resident Requests You should apply for a Good Conduct Certificate from the Bahraini embassy. Bangladesh Police Certificate needed? Yes. How to get one? Local Requests Applications can be made in person at the local police station. You must present a passport and submit a bank draft from the Bangladesh bank or any branch of the Sonali bank for the required fee. Non-Resident Requests Bangladesh citizens and other nationals living outside Bangladesh but who have previously resided in Bangledesh for more than six months will be required to submit a Police Certificate. You may obtain a Police Certificate by applying with required fees to the High Commission or Embassy of Bangladesh in your country of current residence. Barbados Police Certificate needed? Yes. Information can be released directly to the Canadian Immigration Visa Office through a written request to the Police Commissioner. How to get one? Belarus Police Certificate needed? Yes. How to get one? However, police certificates are only available to applicants born in Benin. How to get one? Benin nationals should apply for an Extrait de casier judiciaire from the Tribunal of their city of birth. Bermuda Police Certificate needed? Yes. However, certificates requested from outside Bermuda will be released directly to the Canadian Immigration Visa Office. All other certificates must be submitted with the application for permanent residence. How to get one? You are required to provide two police reports: one from the local police station (PTJ) and a second from Interpol. In addition, You need to obtain an address certificate from the local police. Designated representatives may obtain the certificate on the applicant’s behalf. This designation must be notarized by having both parties appear before a notary public to sign the request for designation. Non-Resident Requests You may apply for a Certificado de Antecedentes para Fines Especiales at the Chilean embassy or consulate in your country of residence. China, People’s Republic of (see also Hong Kong and Macao) Police Certificate needed? Yes. How to get one? Non-Resident Requests You may obtain notarial certificates from the notary office with jurisdiction over the county of previous residence. The Poder Judicial, Dirección Ejecutiva, Registro Judicial issues a document indicating previous convictions. To obtain this document, You should present a letter from the Canadian Immigration Visa Office requesting the certificate with your full name, full names of parents, date and place of birth, passport or identification number, aliases, etc. and an original identification document or passport, plus applicable fees. Egypt Police Certificate needed? Yes. How to get one? Local Requests You should apply in person for a Legal Status Certificate at the local police station. You are required to complete the application, provide a passport-size photograph and pay the applicable fees. Fingerprints will be recorded on the front of the certificate and the fingerprint check results will be recorded on the back. Non-Resident Requests You may apply through an Egyptian embassy or consulate El Salvador Police Certificate needed? Yes. You need to provide two certificates: the Solvencia de la Policía and the Certificado de Antecedentes Penales. How to get one?
