Hi there, can somebody answer this pls...I have a friend in Canada and she works as a live in caregiver, unfortunately her employer passed away in feb 2011 and she needs to find a new employer to resume working. Fortunately, she found one in april and she was asked to start work in April right away. Her employer filed her LMO and was received approved in June 2010. My friend applied a new work permit and she received it in may 2010. Now, she's confused of her starting date bec. she had started to work while waiting her work permit. Her employer wants to claim the money she paid her and wanted to declare the original starting date of her employment(that was in april) which is unpermitted yet.Her employer believed that since the LMO was approved it means all the details written in there are approved including the proposed date (which was in April) . Now, she's scared that she might loose her permit if ever the government wont  allowed that since technically it is illegal to work without a work permit. Please need your advice for this case.

thank you!

Your dates do not make sense. But as to the start date, your friend has to talk to her employer about the time that she worked without the WP. It is illegal to work for an employer  without a WP and it is also illegal for the employer to let somebody work for her or him without a WP.
