Hello all!

I'm a U.S citizen, 21 years old and currently visiting in Vancouver, BC. I was wondering how I can get a working permit- what's the difference between a temporary one and a regular one? and how long can I stay in Canada after I get one, if I manage to do so- do I need another kind of visa  in order to live here for a while? I'm only planning on staying for 6-10 months.
