One of my friend asked me this question and am not clear after looking at CIC web as?

my friend is currently working in Canada not in a professional job, he earns around $13 per hour, he is eligible for FSW 1 (has 71 points) but he doesn't have $16,000 (him, spouse and a kid) in his account. His annual income before taxes comes to approx $27,000. Can he use this job as proof of fund or he has to arrange $16,000 in his account?  Roll Eyes
Thanks in advance   Smiley

Hi,

If someone has a job offer he/she does not have to show the proof of funds, so if you friend is showing that he has a job offer then no need to show POF.

Cheers

Hi, Saki he is working in as Gas Station attender so I think he can send his pay slip and a letter from his employer. That will do the job, thanks for reply

I think this is a Grey area. I presume that the Arranged Employment Offer would have to be in the field under which you apply and then only would you get the waiver. I do not believe that being a Gas Station attender which is not on the FSW list would give you this waiver.

If the property is in Canada , then definitely could be used as proof of funds. If property is outside Canada , then you need to refer to your specific Visa Office instructions. Some permit while others don't
