Hi, does anyone know this answer?

My husband is Canadian and we are applying for spousal sponsorship (I am a UK citizen).  Whilst waiting for the permanent residence papers and work permit to come through, can I get round this by working from home, ie. doing Avon or stuffing envelopes or similar stuff?  I've seen adverts in the local papers wanting people to work from home saying a Social Insurance Number is not required.

Nope, work is work, and you need a work permit for it.
