Work Visa Extension

Hi all,
Quick run down......
1st year in Canada I had an open visa. I could work anywhere.
2nd year in Canada I had a sponsor. Had to work in the one location.
I am now coming up for my 3rd year in Canada. I want to stay in Canada..... what options do I have.
Would prefer to have another open visa if possible.

What other options do I have?

Not many, you are probably not entitled to an open work permit, so you are going to have have an employer that is will to get either a new LMO or an extension to your present one.  It will still be tied to the one employer.  The only way you will be able to work where you want is to apply for PR status.

So therefore, I have to go through the process of a skilled worker?
Or is there another process?
How long do you need to be in Canada to qualify for PR?
