Work Permit with affiliate of large foreign company???

Hi all,

I was offered a position from a newly formed company (Jan 09') in Vancouver. The company is an affiliate of a much large company based in Germany and I'm wondering will it be easy to get a work permit with them as they currently only have one employee here in their Canadian branch? I am on a visitor visa here at the moment as my work permit expired a few weeks ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The job offered is a professional one that requires qualifications I have so my only concern is the no. of employees they have and that they have only been in operation a few months.
