Possibly but you don't give enought details, i.e, where you applied, method of delivery, program (with LMO, IEC, etc.)

It's an open work permit. I apply for H&C grounds and my application was approved and the letter state that if you wish to apply for study or work permit you may apply. I apply for the OWP the beginning of January this year

I spoke to one of the agents of cic regarding this matter ( open work permit) on how to renew, what r the requirements and the validity of the open work permit that they gonna give. she said its either three to four years.
Which means u have nothing to worried about Wink
In my case i received my OWP last dec 2011 n it will expire this year dec 2012. They based it on the validity of my passport.

Thanks much now I feel better. I always thought a work permit is only valid for a year or to the time they think your application should be finnalize.

sorry i am kinda of confused, when we submit OWP and PR together for sponsorship, we will get OWP in less than a few months?

i have already sent both. how about if i now send a letter of offer to apply a student permit, how long it will takes to approve? will i be considered a international or domestic?

No. You will get the OWP if you receive Approval in Principle which takes about 11 months.  And you can only apply for an OWP if you are applying via the In Canada Class spousal sponsorship route.  I don't understand the last part of your question.  International or domestic what?

that is what i thought so. there is another thread in the forum that confused me a little but later on it was all clarified. yes i have applied both and i just want to be certain of the process. oh i missed a word there, international student or domestic student.

am i allowed to study as international student if i have applied the inland sponsorship? and let's say if i m able to, what happens if i have AIP before i start my classes, can i change my status as international student to domestic student? because the university sites all stated as long as you have AIP status, you can study as domestic student (which means lower tuition fees).
