Work Permit

I appreciate you help in this matter.

I applied for Alberta PNP program and my application has been approved by the state of Alberta. Not I am in process of filing the Federal Application to Buffalo.

I recently received a job offer from an employer in alberta. It is a NOT a Permanent position but it is a "Contract Position".

QUESTIONS: Can you please let me know if I am eligible to file for the WORK PERMIT and start working. I know that I can file for the work permit with a Permanent position. But the position offered to me is a CONTRACT POSITION.

Please advise if I can file for the WORK PERMIT. Any information will be very useful.
