Hi

Can anyone tell me if they restore the work permit beginning current date? or the date the original expired??

Kumar,

I don't have an answer to that.

You may have to wait for your renewed workpermit to find out and let others in the forum know, please.

You may be comforted to know that if the work permit is for the same employer, you are under implied status and may continue working on the expired work permit provided your application for extension was done within 30 days of the expiry.

I just wanted to inform everybody in the forum that I just got my permit and it is restored from the current date.

Can someone tell me how can I get a visa now??? I need a multiple entry visa?

You should apply to a visa office outside Canada, usually it's Buffalo, NY.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA APPLICANTS WITH TEMPORARY STATUS IN CANADA

You must provide proof of lawful temporary status in Canada.

If you are in Canada with a study permit and need to apply for a TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA to travel abroad, please provide:

A photocopy of your current permit and
Originals of your most recent transcript and
Proof of current enrolment
If you are in Canada with a temporary work permit and need to apply for a TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA to travel abroad, please provide:

A photocopy of your current permit and
A letter from your employer or other proof of current employment.

The validity of your temporary resident visa (TRV) may not exceed the duration of your study/work permit or visitor record. If you intend to have your Study/Work Permit or Visitor Record extended you should do so before you apply for a TRV.
