Hi all,

I have recently received my LMO approval and i want to apply for the work permit. Does that mean i need to resign from my current company at the time of application itself and also get a NOC from them ? As in the forms they are asking for the relieving letter from the current company.

Please answer me guys i am very worried as i don't want to land in a situation where i neither have my current job nor i have my work permit.

regards,
Anurag

Under no circumstance should you leave your current job unless you have your Visa at hand.  Better safe than sorry.

Hi Anurag,

Having an approved LMO does not assure you of your work permit getting approved.  I got denied the first time I applied for work permit with an approved LMO.  Luckly I didn't resigned and the second time that I applied got lucky.  Good luck on your application.
