Hello Guys, I have few question, please guide me here..

1) I am in Canada on work permit. 2 Months ago I have applied my work permit for renewal. Today I got my new work permit by mail from CIC. Now my wife wants to visit her family but we don't have visa stamp in our passport however I do have work permit that will expire next year.

Question:

Do I have to see local Canadian Immigration office and get the stamp on our passport?

Please advice

What do you mean you got new work permit by email from CIC? If you're in Canada, you can apply for your TRV at a visa/consulate office in the US.

Ya I got Work permit by mail. but Now wife wants to travel to India but she ca;t go because she need visa in her passport. Today I called CIC and they advised that I have to send my passport to Buffalo office but I am not sure what documents shall I send. She (CIC Rep) said that I have to pay $150 for visa....


I don't know what to do and how much time it will take. Please help me here
