I have submit my PR application on Nov. 21, 2009. the web shows the mail arrived cic on nov. 24,2009. The processing time is 5-6 month now for the first stage of approval. It means that my open work permit could be released around May. However, my work permit, health card and SIN card will expire at April. What I should do now.

Can you apply for an extension of your work permit with your present employer while you wait for the first stage approval of your PR app?

Submit your application for your current employer; you would be on implied status should you not have been able to get a response from CPC-V on or before April 17.

Attach a letter/contract from your employer that s/he is extending your services.
