Hi there,

I am a s/w engineer working in USA and my wife is holding a permanent residence status in Canada. I have decided to move to Canada to  join with my wife and I have started the process to applying PR in spouse quota. I came to know that it will take about 3-4 months of processing time to get my PR and I am wondering if I could able to work in Canada in temporary work permit. From the below thread, I came to know that I don't need HRSDC approval to work in Canada.

I would like to know more details about this option. Suppose I get a job in Canada, what would be my next step to obtain work permit? Can you suggest the processing time to get work permit.

Thanks in advance.
