Hello everybody!
I am YaŽara from Israel, and i would like to come to work in Canada for one year while considering to apply for university.
I would be really happy if someone can give some advice about working permit for Israel citizens:
Is it possible in anyway for me to get an open working visa?

thank you in advance!

And....
another question-
if it is not possible to get an open working permit, is it possible to come to canada as a tourist and apply for working permit after I find a jod?
i heard that you will have to go back to your home country when waiting for the visa, is that true?

thank you all a lot!

You can't apply for an open work permit.

You can apply for a closed work permit if you can find an employer who is willing to hire you. In order to hire you, an employer must first prove they could not find a Canadian to hire for the role - and must submit a Labour Market Opinion (LMO) application. IF the LMO is approved (not all LMOs are approved), the employer can then hire you and you can apply for a work permit.

Because it takes a lot of time and work to go through the LMO process (and because there's no guarantee the LMO will be approved), many Canadian employers are not interested in hiring people who aren't already allowed to work in Canada.

But you can certainly try...
