Yes, I am considering an outland process as well. But the same problem exists there for my work permit, processing times in Berlin are 10/11 months. So that leaves a gap between the end of my OWP and getting my PR or AIP. For me, it's all about being able to keep working in the job I find (assuming I like it of course), and being able to give my employer the security that he doesn't have to worry about me not able to keep working for him.



If you read the top of the page where the outland time lines are listed closely, you'll see these time lines are what it took the CIC to go through 80% of applications between July of last year and June of this year. This means that a substantial % of applications are processed faster - some much faster.

Also, note that Berlin is currently listed as 9 months:
